Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Time: 6:30 EST
TV: Fox
Weather: Kickoff temperate of 1 degree, the temperature will get below 0 and wnd chills around -15

Key players:
Eli Manning - Needs to continue to NOT mistakes and manage the game
Image

Brandon Jacobs - His 264 lb frame is not something defenders want to have running into them in sub-zero temperatures
Image

Amani Toomer - Has emerged as Eli's favorite target of late, his veteran leadership is vital to this team's success
Image

Michael Strahan - Get pressure on Favre. He takes risks so if you get to him quick you can force a very risky pass that can lead to a big play for the defense
Image

Osi Umenyiora - Same as Strahan, simply get to the QB early and often to put the Packers in 2nd/3rd long situations to negate Grant's running game
Image

Brett Favre - Nothing more needs to be said about this guy, we all know what he is about in the cold in Lambeau
Image

Ryan Grant - Second most rushing yards to LT since Grant became starter, he must be taken seriously
Image

Greg Jennings - A deep threat who pours on yards after the catch, biggest WR threat IMO on the Pack

If the Giants allow the Packers to establish the running game the way they did against Dallas, it will be game over. Favre will not pull a Tony Romo and allow the Giants to stay in the game. Madison seems like he will be ready to go but hasn't practiced more than once or twice in the past 3 weeks, so throwing him into 0 degree weather is risky (but I'll take my chances as he is our #1 CB). Ross has practiced all week and will be playing with a harness, not sure how this will effect his play if at all.

The Giants need to stop the run first and foremost, but they also need to get to Favre early in the game. This will force the Packers to keep more guys on the line of scrimmage (less 4 WR/1 TE or 5 WR sets) and would help the Giants greatly in this one.

Offensively, Eli obviously has to limit his mistakes as usual. How he will handle the weather is anybody's guess. We can say he will have to simply manage the game, but I think we will need some points to win this game and they may be on Eli's shoulders. Putting it on Eli in 0 degree weather will concern a lot of people, but I have the faith in him and this offense. Running the ball will be difficult, but Jacobs has the potential to do a lot of damage in this game because none of these defenders want him barreling into them in this bitter cold weather.

Special teams may be huge, as it often is in a huge playoff game. The Giants have been fantastic of late, specifically in the kick/punt return areas. They have been giving the offense great field position more often than not, and more of that can help Eli settle down.

One thing that is kind of going under the radar is the fact that the Packers are an EXTREMELY young team. That can go either way in these games, either they embrace it and run with it or they get thrown off by the importance of the game (and all the side stories that come with it being in Lambeau, etc.). While the Giants are relatively young as well, they are a team that has been to the playoffs for 3 consecutive years. While that doesn't measure up to a conference championship game, any experience helps. Coughlin, Gilbride, Strahan, and Toomer have all reached this point in the NFL season before and that can only be a good thing.

Should be a very, very entertaining game, and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully Big Blue pulls off another upset on the road.

It's go time, baby! Win or lose, we had a GREAT season. I really mean that. I was as skeptical as anyone else, heading into the season. If you had asked me whether I would take 10 regular season wins, and an NFC Championship game appearance, I would have asked what you were smoking. There's hope yet for Eli, and we have a nice core to build upon in coming years. Hats off to Accorsi, Reese, Coughlin, and the entire Giants organization. Job well done!
