Giants related rumors:
Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports on a rumor that has circulated regarding the Cleveland Browns trading wide receiver Braylon Edwards to the Giants for pass-rusher Mathias Kiwanuka.

Another rumor that has floated in some circles would involve the Arizona Cardinals sending Anquan Boldin to the Giants for Kiwanuka or a second-round pick plus defensive tackle Jay Alford.

ill update as it goes

The Washington Redskins shook up the free agent market early Friday morning when they made Albert Haynesworth the NFL's first $100 million defensive player.

But first they had to beat out the Giants to get him.

When midnight struck and the free-agent market opened Thursday night, the Giants were one of the first teams to call about the big defensive tackle, the Daily News has learned. They called within the first hour, according to two NFL sources, and stayed "in the mix" on Haynesworth for several more hours before eventually bowing out when the price got too high.

according to reports, michael boley may be heading to the giants for 5 years 25 mill with 10 mill guaranteed.

i love this move, giants really needed an athletic linebacker and he fits it.

Anyone want to give a short scouting report on Boley? I don't know a lot about him. -Jitpal

he's a fast and very athletic linebacker who can blitz and play in coverage(something the giants linebackers suck at)

I don't want TJ his age worries me and his price. He has been a life time 2nd String. How sure are we can can handle double coverage on a consistent basis.

I would rather take a chance on the draft with Kenny Britt, like Plaxico tall Receiver who is good at catching a jump ball and he has a built body who loves contact. Or Darrius Heyward-Bey guy ran a 4.30 flat on the 40 and he is also a very athletic receiver. Scouting reports questions his hands though, known for dropping passes.

As far as Michael Boley anyone is better than Blackburn, Wilkerson or Kehl for the weakside. Can be like what Kawika Mitchell did for us. All I know is that he is rated a 85 in Madden lol, better then any other Weakside LB's Giants have in Madden. I am better off with him than overpaying Bart Scott.

If the Giants got Haynesworth it would not be fair to NFC East O-Line lol. Osi and Tuck coming from the sides and Haynesworth coming from the middle, deadly. I guess Roger Goddell did not allow him to sign with the Giants lol.

boley and bernard great signings.

wat do u guys think about keeping kiwanuka at de????

r we going to replace danny clark at strongside and are we looking for a safety to play next to phillips???

finally i heard the saints may have to give us their first as they may have traded their second as compensation or something. any truth to that????

4.47 though his dad says he can run a 4.39.

suns12345 wrote:wat do u guys think about keeping kiwanuka at de????

who knows, although if they get canty then i think kiwi could possibly be trade bait.

suns12345 wrote:r we going to replace danny clark at strongside and are we looking for a safety to play next to phillips???

yeah i think clark is the SAM but there's still a lot of off season left to improve it. who knows, it can be kiwi in the end.

michael johnson will start along with safety, terrell thomas converting can also be an option. they need a 3rd string whether it's via the draft of free agency.

no, jets get their 3rd rounder ... giants get their 2nd and 5th rounder.

thx for that.

Kenny britt sounds like a viable option if we can grab him at a reasonable spot.

Safeties from the U usually turn out to be great studs. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Brandon Meriweather. Kenny Phillips rotated between James Butler and Michael Johnson. Kenny Phillips is ready to start next season.

Kenny Britt was a top performer in the vertical leap, but he was a mid 4.40 at the 40. But to me the 40 yard dash is a little overrated. Devin Hester did not have the best 40 and we all know what he turned out to be.

I think that they overpaid too much for Canty, but it looks like Kiwi is going back to strongside lineback. Get Kenny Britt or Darrius Heyward-Bey and we are straight. And if James Laurinaitis can fall to us in the 1st rounnd. I don't how many watch wrestling but he is the son of Road Warrior Animal from LOD

theres 2 linebackers that will be drafted before him for sure(malunga sp? and curry) its possible larry english, brian cushin, clay matthews can go before laurinatis..id love for the giants to wind up with him and britt should be there with our pick fro mthe saints

kiwi will be a DE imo and a guy like robbins could bite the dust as how coughlin said canty will be a DT(most likely starting) and on 3rd downs he and tuck will flip flop positions.

a great offseason free agent wise and i'm pretty sure reese will have yet another great draft.
