Steve Smith will never be a big time receiver, however he is the type of receiver every NFL offense needs. He is a good route runner with good hands, he won't do anything special he just follows the plays. He does not have the best athleticism, or blazing speed, he just plays football. Braylon Edwards problem is he drops a lot of passes, even easy ones. Even in his breakout year in 07 he still led the league in dropped passes.
The wind at Giants Stadium does not make it any easier to catch balls, however Braylon Edwards raw talent and athleticism is still worth the risk. A 2nd roudner and 5th rounder is just about right, however no way in hell they give up Steve Smith. Also Mathias Kiwanuka for Braylon also sounds right, if Cleveland wants to deal him they will ease up.

Great post. I'm glad Reese didn't budge. Two second rounders is also too much.

The Giants need to forget about Edwards and move on. He is not a big time WR and will only lead to disapointment and aggrivation.

I saw a report on the Nypost website this morning that the Browns now want Kiwanuka and a 1st rounder for Edwards. Are these fags out of their minds??? They're lucky to get a 2nd and 3rd rounder for this guy.

Don't worry with the amount of Teams that have taken advantage of the Browns (both on and off the Feild), they were probably trying their luck on the other side of the fence for a change.

Too bad they met up with a top notch GM in Reese (Accorsi didn't raisse no fool

).
They'll probably either end up stuck with Edwards, or get a 2nd and a future pick for him.

Reese is playing a waiting game with the Browns. It is now a second and a fourth for Edwards. Will see how it pans out.
