Hey guys whats up? Ive been a Jets fan ever since Pennington got drafted and this is officially my first post on this forum.
I just wanna know if its possible for us to sign TO? Do we have enough cap room and if so, is it worth bringing in TO jeopardizing the chemistry of this team?
TO = Stephon Marbury and the Knicks
Is it worth it?

Welcome on board!
I think we would have the cap room but of course it would be a horrible move. Now hear me out, I don't think TO is that bad of a teammate as many people and reports make it out to be. Sure, he's a primadonna and all but the Cowboys had enough other issues even without TO and he will flip in such a situation. I strongly believe that he can be controlled by the right coach and under the right circumstances (strong onfield leaders, experienced guys, people who keep him in check, a tough coach). Now with that said, we aren't a team that fits that criteria and we will start a young, inexperienced QB next season. Now the last thing such a kid needs is to have TO complain about passes thrown to him, about playcalling or a bad read. We don't even plan to throw the ball a lot which will certainly not sit well with Owens. We also don't need the media attention, we already had enough drama and storylines with Favre... we are fine concentrating on our D, on our team chemistry and on fielding a tough and violent (to speak with the words of Bart Scott) squad on both sides of the ball...

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

Welcome to the boards. As far as Owens goes he might have made sense when we had Edwards as the coach, but the last thing the Jets need and want right now is Owens. With Ryan as the new coach we want to make the transition easy for all parties. We all know that Owens will make it an extremely bumpy road, for his age and issues he is simply not worth it.
