Man, what a tough loss. Special teams let us down completely... I mean it's ridiculous how much we dominated this game and still didn't win. Our defense gave up a grand total of 9 points and we still lose. These Jets are just inconsistent and never get an entire game together. I won't give any credit to Miami for this one, unlike in the first meeting where they beat us fair and square. They had no business winning yesterday and got extremely lucky. So what... I'm not a fan of not giving your opponents credit and I hear the people that think Bart Scott, Ryan and company are a bit overconfident. Yet when I watch a game like yesterday, then it is what it is, we beat ourselves and made mistakes that cost us the game.

Blame goes to our kicking units, punting is almost Hodges bad, Rex Ryan had a few blunders in there like wasting a timeout on a two point conversion. Other than that, well, we ran it well, Sanchez woke up in the second half, D was incredible yet we lose the game. Brutal...

Going forward there are still a lot of positives about our Jets that might give us some excitement down the stretch and especially next year:
- Our offense has the potential to be very good especially when Sanchez develops well over the year and gains chemistry with his receivers. Edwards, Cotchery and Keller are a damn good trio of receivers and Clowney is looking alright too. The run game is strong and should continue to be a building block for the future.
- Our defense is as good as advertised. Even without Jenkins we completely shut down the wildcat and gave up almost nothing to the Dolphins. We are ranked in the top two in yards and points allowed per game and I will take that any day of the week. Now imagine that with Jenkins coming back and maybe 1 or two additions in the draft or FA... wow! Super unit.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

good post.. and honestly, the reason why scott, and ryan can talk so much, is because the defense is doing the job. put this defense with the saints offense and you have a Super bowl team... right now sanchez is a rooking comming along, and we are just playing a bit conservative..

Losing to miami stinks, especially when we completely out played them.. the special teams let us down, big time..

We have a buy week and time to regroup.. we have a long season left. 8 games, and if we can go 6-2, we will be in the playoffs. And I think we can do that. Sanchez seems to have gotten his confidence back, and the defense is rock solid..

just a tough loss!

Each week somebody's not playing and making mistakes. Jets find more ways to lose games I swear.
