Well considering I wanted to trade back into the 1st round for him.....I'm pretty pumped about this pick.

Best deep threat in the draft and a great blocker as well.

He's a lot more polished than people think, he plays the ball in the air incredibly. Has been working out with Calvin Johnson as well.

I'm not too focused on him being a deep threat. Can he be a red zone threat for us right away? His measurements say definitely, but his hands say he might not right away.

Hill seems like a good pick, but didn't the Jets give up a lot to move up 4 spots?

a 5th and a 7th rounder to go from 47 to 43 - seems like a high price to me, but I don't really follow football.
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

Think of it this way...the Browns gave up the 4th overall along with picks in the 4th, 5th, and 7th rounds to move up to the 3rd overall selection.

Jets still have 5 more picks, 3 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th. They could package some of those picks and move up or try to dig for gems.

Another big risk/reward guy. Hill is a freak of nature type WR physically...along the lines of Randy Moss. Obviously he's got a long way to go before that ever happens but people are getting carried away with the "he hasn't proved he can run NFL routes, therefore He wasn't a good pick" silliness. He's widely considered to be a smart, attentive and tough young man which bodes very well when trying to predict whether he can grow into his physical tools (which is phenomenol to say the least). His physicality and willingness to mix it up physically (considered one of the most physical WRs in college) along with his red zone skills is a great fit for Sporanos style. Also, as mentioned will force teams to not have the freedom of playing 2 safeties close to the line and, as a result will lesson the pressure on Sanchez in the pocket.

I was watching the ticker when I got home (jets had already picked) hoping that Hill slipped to them. Was thrilled when his name popped up right after "Jets -". I think this was a great pick. Hill has the intangibles that I think says hell not flub in the NFL. At which point with his absolute elite physical skills should at the very least make him a productive and dangerous receiver...at least along the lines of a Hakeem Nicks productivity wise.

7th rounders don't have much value, and a 5th is well worth it to secure your guy, and widely regarded as the #4 WR in the entire draft...at pick 43.

If you see your guy and think he has a shot at being taken, you go and get him and don't take the risk of missing out on him.

I like the pick. The Jets desperately need some depth at the WR position. Although I'm just not entirely confident in our QBs at this point.

Blackmon, Floyd, & Hill were the only WRs I were hoping the Jets got in the draft. Just one of them. Glad they got Hill. Definitely will be surprising a lot of football fans in a good way. He's fast, blocks, & has big play ability. A nice playmaker to have across Santonio. Now people can stop with the Braylon Edwards talk. Just drafted a younger, faster, & less-injured(knock on wood) WR stud. Not as "raw" as people keep saying.

Never like comparing players in different sports but this is definitely like when the Knicks drafted Iman Shumpert to me. Analysts kept saying the guy was too raw & would be a process to groom through the league, not knowing what the real deal was.

Hill is another guy that I am excited about. He has amazing physical abilities, as has been mentioned, and I don't know just how raw the kid is, but you have to be happy to land a kid with that sort of game-breaking potential.
