Yep. Otah could not pass his physical. A shame. Not sure if he will play again. His knees are that bad.

Looks like it's "no trade" now.
Sigh. Wayne Hunter Round 2 anyone?

Re: The Official 2012 New York Jets Offseason Thread
Cromartie sparks controversy...but to be fair, I've been reading about the QB's struggling and taking long in the pocket, part of me worries that it's the WR's not getting any separation for a second straight season...so maybe they needed to be called out.

I don't think Cro's trying to do anything other than light a fire under their asses. Of course, he didn't necessarily need to go that route but it appears to be working, so we'll see. And yeah, a lot of the time last year the receivers other than Holmes couldn't do much to break free. We have a new lineup (aside from Santo and Kerley) so we'll have to see what happens.

Nick Mangold not going to rest of training camp. Cheering on Holley Mangold (women's weightlifting Olympic athlete) in London. Best of luck to Holley!

I've read that Bilal Powell is really opening eyes...could potentially overtake Mcknight on the depth chart and has been the best all around RB of Camp. It'd be nice for dude to have a breakout.

Re: The Official 2012 New York Jets Offseason Thread
Preseason football tonight, too early to judge much, just our second offensive drive after one defensive stop (3 and out good start) but
. Sanchez is making plays!
. After giving up a sack with the whole line collapsing, the O-line has given him pretty good time. (as I type this out, he's sacked again by an outside rush, TE misses his man completely).
. Run Blocking hasn't gotten Green much space to work so far, but they just got a 3 yarder so...
. Patrick Turner is a pretty good route running and has already made some nice catches.
. Defensively, the three and out didn't have too much to go off of but Yeremiah Bell made a very nice hit on a pass up the middle to stop a short gain. Even if the WR held on we'd have gotten them off the field.

In other Jet news, they picked up Spencer Lanning off waivers from Cleveland to give Conley some competition at the punter position.
