Seriously I think Jacque is a bad player but he does give a lot of effort. He hustles on the basepaths and plays some good defense.
But Jacque Still Sucks and I wish he would get food poisoning.

I really think this injury is a blow to our ego more than anything else. I think we can win games just fine without Soriano in the lineup. Our team ERA is top notch, and we obviously haven't been winning the bulk of our games thanks to the long ball. We still have guys who can make things happen, particularly so if they're utilized properly...something that might re-surface itself now that Soriano is forcibly removed from the leadoff spot.

I think this is good because it'll give Soriano some time to rest, while establishing what our lineup/roster is going to be for the stretch run. Now more than ever Jones will either have to step up or sit the f#$k down.

Soriano will be back come September, and the production (or lack thereof) from his "fill-ins" will likely determine the roster/lineup for September and on.

I'm excited to see Patterson play, almost has made me forget about Soriano's injury. Pie will no doubt be a September call-up, if not sooner.

Humor aside, this is JJ's time to shine. Whether or not he will remains to be seen.

Last 7 days all of those numbers are higher. .455 BA, .478 OBP, .636 SLG, 1.114 OPS.

That doesn't count his game so far tonight, 3-4, 2B, HR, 2 RBI.
