Not that I liked Maccagnan or anything, but how do you not do this before free agency?!

Maybe I'm just being impatient because of the terrible timing, but I feel like we haven't gotten much in the form of updates about the GM search. I've seen a few names out there but no news beyond a couple of requests to speak to FO's members of other teams (like Douglas).
