Kind of weird we traded up for another RB and a multipurpose one at that. Looks like we're saying goodbye to Leon. We also currently have one pick left in the draft, a 7th.

We got Joe McKnight?
Dude was a stud in college other than the incident with the SUV, but it makes me so happy that he gets to learn along with Greene for LT.

I was hoping to fill in more depth at the O-Line with Faneca gone. With us trading up for him, we're left with a 7th rounder to fill in one more depth slot.

We filled in the O-Line with DuCasse.
Leon got traded for John Conner (Seattle's draft RB)
Don't get this trade for us, probably insurance because of the whole leg thing and salary shed.

Regarding Joe McKnight I like him a lot. He comes in with explosive ability every time he touches the ball, it could be a home run. He runs in between the tackles a lot better than people give him credit. He played with Gable and Johnson so he does sort of have fresh legs. Excellent hands and will replace Leon in the long run.

McKnight does have very quick legs, able to have great speed bursts, no wrongdoings with this pick.
Thought he would go earlier, but the legal issues probably derailed that.

With his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and lineup wide he will bring an element that we were sorely missing last season once Leon went down. Hopefully he will fill in perfectly for Leon and we will have a younger/cheaper replacement.

Man, feel bad for Joe with the bad virus smack in combine and pro day and minicamp and all that. Really hurt his stock I think

Former USC running back Joe McKnight, who made headlines for the wrong reasons in his first minicamp practice with the New York Jets, has made positive news, signing with the team on Tuesday.
McKnight is the second Jets draft pick to sign, following former Kentucky fullback John Conner (fifth-round pick), who signed a four-year deal on June 4. Still unsigned are former UMass guard Vlad Ducasse (second round) and former Boise State cornerback Kyle Wilson (first round).
The Jets are counting on McKnight to compete for playing time as a third-down back and, possibly, as a kick returner. He got off to a lousy start in the first minicamp, vomiting on the field and dropping several passes. He also wasn't happy when he learned that he'd be wearing No. 25, the same number former USC star Reggie Bush wears for the New Orleans Saints. McKnight has grown weary of comparisons to Bush.
The Jets drafted McKnight with the idea of replacing Leon Washington, who was traded to the Seattle Seahawks soon after they selected McKnight.
The Jets also waived kicker Jared Ballman, free safety Brannon Condren and defensive tackle Mick Williams.
