Shottenheimer Fired/Jets Bring In Sparano

This man needs to go. His offense is very predictable and he gives LT the worst running plays. Tell me when was the last time you seen the Jets run a draw play? How many times does Sanchez play Shotgun? Why do they oinly have 3 plays for Brad Smith? When is he gonna stun the D and pass? Shottenheimer has to go. He isn't leading this offense. What I would do is get an offensive coordinator to create a new offense. There is too many weapons on this team to not be able to get at least one muthaphuckin TD drive.

He's gots to go!! I'm tired of his BS. Who do you guys think we need to add?

If u have Mark Sanchez as a QB, cant blame the offensive coordinator..
Mark is a very unpredictable QB..
I love Shottenheimer run calls, we have run the ball against pretty much every team.. If only we had a better QB with the set of receivers we have would be the best offense in the league..

There are times though where he gets way too conservative though, especially on 3rd and longs. Open the damn playbook, man.

Mark Sanchez is the worst QB in the league.. when u open the playbook with pass play there is a good chance u will get a interception rather than a TD..

Check the regular season QB rating.. he is the bottom of the pack 2 years in a row in regular season play..
Last year 12-20 (TD-INT)
This year 17-13 (TD-INT)
http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats? ... &Submit=GoLook at the stat like for Sanchez vs Manning., last years AFC game.. Manning out gunned Sanchez
http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=300124011Sanchez has been good so far in playoffs thank goodness.. We know what the rest of the team is capable of , I am hoping Sanchez does not lose the game for us..

He's also a rookie/sophomore in that span, he also is up to 4 postseason wins and while he's had poor showings he has shown flashes of brilliance too...keep it one hundred.

Doesnt that tell u that the O coach is doing a great job using Sanchez in spurts and setting up some good run calls and getting positive yardage in spite of the defense expecting a run call 70% of the time from the jets.
I think Shottenheimer is a future head coaching material like his father..

If anything Sanchez is being held back by Schotty. If he's back next season the Jets are heading nowhere.

OK lets h=just elaborate. Sanchez is on pace to be top 10 in the next couple of years. He's 15th now IMO. Also like I said before he needs to be able to throw bombs whenever. Not just when he opens up his throwing with short game. Schottenheimer must go because he basically wrote the offense on a piece of paper and gave it to defenses. He's also very scared to run plays more than one. Just because a team has seen it doesn't mean they can now stop it. Yesterday he made so many bad calls. On that 3rd and Goal he could've did a draw and got the TD because their was so much space in the A and B gaps for LT. Another thing he doesn't notice is that when you have a guy like LT who turns the corner so fast you shouldn't hesitate to toss it in the red zone. When you can't pound the middle you go around and that's what the Steelers did. Mendenhall was running mostly outside than inside. It's so simple yet I'll never get how he never does it. Brad Smith was AWOL last night too. No Wildcat no nothing. If anyone cost us this game it was him. He is wayyy too conservative. You can never blame Sanchez for anything before the huddle breaks because Schottenheimer gives him plays. Now thatSanchez is comfortable it's time to change up the O some more. The Steelers win because they Ground. Pound, and can pass deep.

is it a coincidence that Sanchez has looked exponentially better when he has played @ a much quicker pace, and when he runs the no huddle
Shotty needs to go

Now does anyone else agree we need to get rid of him?

I would've liked to see what would come of Norv Turner.

Not thrilled with Sparano. You can talk about his success in the 1 years he was calling plays at Dallas but that's because he had Haley running the passing game.
If we bring in Haley to repeat that team and have him coach the QBs, WRs and draw up passing plays, then I'll be excited. But just Sparano? Seems like Rex is more interested in protecting his defense than putting up points; nonstop ground and pound isn't going to be enough nowadays; the only two elite teams last season who ran more than they passed were Baltimore and 49ers, and both had more innovative offenses than running every down.

This hiring is the first step to once again becoming a true ground and pound team. You can get tired of Rex using the term but in the end this is the identity of the Jets under him. Thats how they got to two AFCCG in a row. It was the foundation for everything else on the team and it will happen again. With a strong running game the Jets will help Sanchez who is most effective in play action and on the move. The run game will shorten the game thus protecting our defense. And when the Jets commit to the run and stay true to their identity, they will establish their physicality early on.
Love the move...

That's exactly it. Sparano is the ideal guy to do the whole ground pound method with, just look at what he did for Reggie Bush, Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.
