AFC Wild Card Round: Jets 17 Colts 16 Final

Post#1 » by Rich Rane » Mon Jan 3, 2011 12:18 am

Regular season is over for AFC. So...in order to reach the Superbowl, we have to defeat the Colts, the Patriots, and then either the Chiefs, Ravens, or Steelers. Hey, if we make it, no one sure as hell can say we didn't earn it.

This is gonna be a tough one.

Keys to the game: Ground yards, Jason Taylor, Stopping Manning, Sanchez not making idiotic plays

We have a chance this year... Little to no chance next week though.

I see a loss. Rex puts too much mental pressure on his troops by talking shyt.

I'll be home a bit late so I'll be watching this a quarter or two behind on my DVR.

Why does Sanchez suck? Our D is great and our running game is doing fine, Sanchez just sucks.

I actually don't mind that part (hindsight is 20-20 eh?), but what annoys me is that we moved up all the way to the 5th pick to get him, it annoyed me then and it's doing my head even more now.

Such terrible accuracy, it's always high!

Good game, the Colts D was absolutely terrible and I have zero confidence in Sanchez but the running game was at their best today.

He did well most of the plays in the second half when we went run-heavy. I was really surprised Schottenheimer and Ryan went to him again on that last pass though.

Other things...

Revis...man, we'll be seeing Reggie Wayne on milk cartons tomorrow.

Run offense was superb. What else can you say?

Slauson...:nonono:

Good clock management by the Rex on calling that timeout with a minute to go.

Cromartie...Garcon was killing him, but that kickoff return to near midfield was beautiful. Also, what the hell was he thinking on that first punt return?

We tried to make the Colts beat us by running the ball and stopping our run. Followed the gameplan to the end of the game and we came out on top. On to Foxboro! If there's anything we learned by the games today, anything can happen in the playoffs!

Can't believe the Jets got it done. For sure thought Folk would **** up.

Great game highlighted by D from everyone.

Sanchez looked terrible through the whole game.

Greene/LT was awesome today.

Slauson is horrid.

Glad we pulled it out.

Now, onto getting our asses kicked next week...

good post..

sanchez was a bit off today, but made the big throws when we needed them, that is the mark of a winning QB.... screw josh freeman.. please.

Running game was huge.

Defense was very good.. revis spectacular and cromartie was good, with the exception of that long TD pass.. the kickoff return was huge!!

Edwards made a great catch and was very good today.

Well coached game.. good win..

Go jets!

GREAT GAME IMHO 2 things were important, that stretch between the 2nd qt and third qt where the Jets had the ball for like 15mins. Good thing to keep the ball out of mannings hands, you could tell he was getting antsy to get out there and play.Second thing was the great clock mgt the last min. I thought edwards was outta bounds on the catch but ya gotta get lucky sometime. Did anyone notice how the colts were bitching for a flag on plays the whole game?? Hey to be honest i didnt expect a win, and tell you the truth I dont expect a win next week but ya never know. Any team can beat any team any game, ask the seahawks.lol

Oh and please forgive me, it was Holmes with the boneheaded play on that first punt return. If you're not catching it, get out of the ******* way!
