Should the Jets consider bringing back Braylon Edwards?

He's had his fair share of injuries recently and is coming off a pretty awful year in San Francisco. I'm just saying he can be had for next to nothing and he already has a solid rapport with Sanchez

Don't think Jets or any team take chance on Braylon until after 2nd, maybe 3rd pre-season game.
No way should the Jets look to bring him back, just to start across from Holmes. That spot is stamped by Hill. He would be helpful as a sub-2 WR though. Every once in a while, come in for Hill when he's tired but that's about it. That & going back & forth between WR3 & WR4.
I hear fans say to sign Braylon to start & let Hill sit & learn. That would be the dumbest thing to do. Sometimes it's best to start rookies & see what they can do right off the bat. Hill is that type of player.

With that said, doubt we get Braylon. WR 1-3 seems to be set with Santonio, Hill, & Kerley. 4 & 5 will be a battle between Schillens, J. White, & Turner. So unless Braylon is trying out for the FS spot, it doesn't look to bright for him in Jet green.

I'd say it all depends on how Hill absorbs the playbook and handles his assignments in the first couple of preseason games. I wouldn't mind taking Braylon for dirt cheap as insurance. Assuming he'd come at a cheap price, he'd be nice to mix in while Hill develops for sure. I would like Hill to be the starter, but I don't think Braylon would be a bad idea as a cheap back-up to stretch the field when Hill needs breaks. We'd never let up on defenses with those two in and out to attack downfield.

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/p ... -handle-it

Numbers three, five and six are all interesting. Had the Seahawks not reached, this draft could have been a home run. I really like that our new D-Line coach is having an immediate impact. Sparano's simplified verbiage could have an impact too.

In other news, Keller said the attention to detail is already higher than it's ever been and Revis said he's cool with his contract as is.

All of this is great news, and I'm suddenly very excited for the coming season. The new coaching personnel didn't wow me before, but it's clear that the changes have woken some players up. I'm also really glad we got Devito to stick around for less and while I'm not as high on Coples as some, I really hope he surprises me.

I think Sparano will do wonders for Sanchez and Tebow. I'm actually very excited for the season. No way Rex isn't motivated by last year's collapse.

Anyone else think we should at least look at what it would take to snag a Matt Forte or Ray Rice?
Would even flip Shonn Greene & a 4th into Stephen Jackson.

Who is the new right tackle? If Hunter starts Woody should fire himself for intellectual incompetency.

Unless Ducasse somehow figures it all out, Hunter's in the spot. The talk about him from everyone is that he's poised for a breakout season...of course that has the echo effect bc we heard the same thing last year.

Santo missed OTA's with a strained hammy today.

Sigh... All the talk of the possible Revis holdout 2.0 has me worried.

In other Jet-related news, Tomlinson has retired.

No discussion on Wilkerson being in a nasty car crash? I heard he's alright but it sounded ugly.

First thing thing that went through my mind was if he and if he hit anyone else was alright. Second was "This son of a :censored: better not have been drinking".

The Jets have finally replaced Wayne Hunter...Traded for Jeff Otah, who is a big guy, a high pick and...unfortunately...injury prone. Let's hope the change of scenery helps his health.

Panther fan here. Otah was a terrific run blocker as a Rookie. Something special. But once he injured the knees, he has never gotten healthy again. Still, for a 7th or even a 6th rounder, he is well worth the risk for the Jets. I really like Otah. Hope he stays healthy for you guys.

Thanks for the break down man, I'm really looking forward to seeing if Otah benefits from a change of scenery to get back to his old self. He seems like a perfect fit for the new running focus, assuming he can stay healthy.

Can't say it's a high-risk trade, really. This is a low-risk high-reward trade. Hopefully he'll bounce back.

Looks like it's "no trade" now. :(
