The bye week is over and we back!



The Skins are heading to MetLife, looking for a win to get back to .500. Meanwhile, the Jets are fresh off a bye week and are trying to keep the good vibes going after a nice win in London, England.

QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Kirk Cousins
RB: Chris Ivory vs. Alfred Morris
WR: Brandon Marshall vs. Pierre Garcon
TE: Jeff Cumberland vs. Niles Paul

Key to the game is stopping AlMo. I trust the secondary against a shaky Cousins and a depleted receiving corps, so the defense should come up big here.

Either way, let's go out and win us a football game!

2 weeks to prepare for this. Jets better win.

I penciled this one in as a win before the season. Dont disappoint me Jets.

I'm really excited about Richardson coming back to this already dangerous D-Line. Should be a win, but I thought that about Philly too.

6 starters out for the Redskins. Jets better win.

Three giveaways for 13 points paired with what looks like they haven't played in a month than 2 weeks. Horrible.

Oooh kil em, oooh-ooh kill 'em.

Bowles lit a goddamn fire in this team at halftime. They look completely different.

Not bad for a comeback showing after that putrid first half.

The Jets took care of Business after a sluggish start, 4-1... big game with the Pats next week...

Positives:
- Todd Bowles is great at making adjustments at halftime, Jets have outscored opponents 34-0 in third quarters this season I think. Terrific trait for a Coach.
- Defense is still looking strong all over the place, strong game against the run. Secondary was playing cat and mouse with Cousins in the second half.
- Chris Ivory was terrific again, everything starts with him on offense.
- Fitzpatrick may make a few bad throws but Overall he moved the Team up and down the field.
- Some nice contributions by Dexter McDougle, Jamari Lattimore and Zac Stacy.
- Brandon Marshall's TD catch was one hell of an impressive Play - he has been a Monster all year.
- OLine did a great Job pass protecting and dominated in the run game aswell against a really good front.

Negatives:
- Special Teams still remain a work in Progress even though the coverage Units did well covering kicks. Still a missed FG and a blocked punt.
- We really Need a Speed rusher off the edge. In the fourth quarter when the Redskins had to pass we at times rushed Douzable and Pace off the edge which won't cut it against better teams. Quinton Coples has been a Major dissapointment this year and is losing playing time every week.
- Offense is still too careless with the ball considering our defense. We can't continue to give opponents opportunities.
- Devin Smith remains missing in Action.
- We are struggling to put games away. I really like Chan Gailey and I think he is calling a good game Overall but with the lead we just run it into the middle three times and punt.

Overall:
Again, the Jets did what they were supposed to do and considering they still made a lot of mistakes Bowles is gonna have a bunch of stuff to work on during the week and Keep the Team hungry. We have really positioned ourselves well even with a tough road game next week. Another good day to be a Jets fan!!! 4-1!!!

The give aways will get us smoked against playoff level teams, but everything else was really impressive imo. When Ivory runs like that, the offense runs perfectly. Marshall had a couple of perfect highlight reel grabs, Decker made a couple of nice plays to make up for his fumbler. Fitzpatrick's running the ball to extend drives or make plays is an aspect of the offense that I think deserves more props. The defense is what it is, dominant, Revis should get DPOY votes and we're not half through the season.
