Same here, but unless Drew Brees is somehow available, where else are we gonna get a QB? Then again, Peyton Manning might be available...passing a physical, I'd still take a shot on a 50-year old Manning.

WE CAN get mad at fitz, but this was not on him. He had a career year, so did brandon marshall, Decker was on point, the D-Line was more than solid, actually a wall... We failed because our billion dollar secondary was not as advertised. All season long a major problem we had was getting off the field on 3rd and 4th down.. we got killed by the raiders, we let some bum 3rd string QB from the Texans burn us for an 80 yard bomb, we got beat by bum azz sam Bradford.. The biggest culprit was revis and Cromartie... Revis got owned in almost every big matchup, from watkins to Hopkins..

we let this clown tyrod taylor throw for 3rd down completion after 3rd down completion. The only time they really scored is when we gifted them with good field position. thanks to our clown punter quigly and for christ sakes bullock was a mess, that missed FG loomed large, I would cut him immediately... hope folk is healthy next year...

If i were the opposition i would take two knees on first and second down just to get to 3rd and long because I know the jets would leave someone wide open. I never seen this type of defense played before, it was embarrassing.. Buffalo ran a vanilla crap offense, taylor stared down his receivers like an amateur QB and we still could not stop their garbage... we wasted a great year by quite a few players and I put this one on our cornerbacks, I am sorry.. now we do need an edge rusher on defense, but the cornerbacks let us down...

Tough tough end to a season where everything is possible in the AFC with so many flawed Teams... but the Jets flaws were all apparent yesterday in one game and it was like the perfect storm...

- We lack Speed all across the board on defense. Our DLine is great in the middle but we got gashed by outside runs all year Long as a) our DLine is build around big, massive DEs and b) our linebackers are either a Million years old (Pace) or just slow as molasses (Davis, Harris). The secondary let us down big time yesterday facing a Gimmick offense with one Receiver to account for. The gameplan of Revis 10 Yards off was a disaster and no adjustments were made. The pass rush stalled again too since our big rushers are just too slow to get to the QB against short routes and Overall everyone on the line is inconsistent as a pass rusher. Revis is a jerk for not speaking after the game btw and I'm a huge fan of him...

- On offense we can talk about OLine, Drops, running backs, whatever... but we lack a Franchise QB. I applaud Fitz for his effort this year and as a game Manager he is fine but that red Zone INT just should have never ever happened. Unfortunately, the Team around him wasn't good enough to cover that up and nobody is available so we roll with him next year and build up the Team as good as we can. Not ramming Ivory Forward on every drive was criminal, Ridley should have never seen the field, only if Ivory needed a break. But hell, it's always been the same with him, inconsistent and injury prone.

- Now finally to Coaching... I think Bowles did great of creating a new no nonsense, professional culture but in the end he was taken to the woodshed yesterday. His Team looked incredibly flat, unprepared (2 timeouts on defense in the first half alone, clock Management issue at the end of the 1st half, starting Ridley, not adjusting on defense...) and Overall he just did not have his Team ready to Play yesterday.

On to the offseason... we Need two new linebackers, gotta overhaul the entire right side of the OLine, we have no RBs on the roster for next year and we gotta find an edge rusher... gonna be interesting...

good analysis mo. I do agree we need some speed on the edges, the front line is great vs the run, but we need an edge rusher. Plain and simple. At LB we need a guy who can actually cover as well.

Our cornerbacks were just not up to the task, and a lot of that falls on revis, but we do need to get a better pass rush to help these guys out some.

As far as QB, I think fitz did great, that int in the endzone was a back breaker, should have never happened, but Decker could have helped him out there as well.. losing to a buffalo team that ran a garbage offense and could not defend marshall at all was a joke, never should have happened..

Really don't get why Ivory only had 6 rushes the entire game. Starting Ridley? Pass heavy gameplan despite the weather not being ideal for Fitzpatrick? What a joke. Hope Bowles uses this as a learning experience. If you have a chance to get into the playoffs you don't coach the game as if you were aiming to get one more loss to improve your draft position.

^Ivory never lasts the full season. He's been banged up for the past 5-6 games, but luckily the passing game was on fire during that time. Honestly, we should let Ivory walk. Powel is more important to our success.

What a pathetic game. Basically it shows us that the Jets were fools gold this year. Granted, 10-6 makes the playoffs almost every other year in the AFC. This game burns. No team that loses to TJ Yates and the Bills twice deserves a playoff spot. The fact that we won all those games in a row, seemed to make everyone think the team was better than it was. We BARELY beat BAD teams during that stretch.

Don't get me wrong, the team is miles better than last year, but you can't start every single game flat. That is definitely on coaching, but I expect Bowles to improve with time and experience. You shouldn't have to rely on 4th quarter comebacks every game. You'll NEVER win in the playoffs like that. Granted Fitz threw more TDs this year than any Jets QB in history (and only played 15 games), he still turned it over when it mattered most. They run the ball and kick the FG there and the Jets take back the lead. EJ Manuel coming in for that ONE play and getting Richardson to jump was downright pathetic. Once that happened I knew the Jets were losing.

What kind of game plan did they even have??? It didn't look any different from the first game where they lost by the same exact score no less.
