Jets' Kendall Will Likely Be Released
22nd July, 2007 - 11:25 am
New York Post - Pete Kendall, who's embroiled in a contract dispute with the Jets and has been very vocal about it, is a question mark at best to show up for training camp. He most likely will be released at some point, because the situation appears to have reached a point of no return.

Kendall, the starting left guard, has been a mentor for left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson and center Nick Mangold. That leaves the question not only who'll replace Kendall if he doesn't show and is released, but how that'll affect his line mates. Adrien Clarke worked in Kendall's spot in minicamp, but is not highly regarded around the league.

Now I loved it when we got Kendall for cheap a couple of seasons ago, I really thought he would not complain. However with him likely to be released, this creates a HUGE void in the OL. Clarke and Mangold played together at Ohio State, a school which is known for its good OL. Im hoping that they know something about this kid that we dont.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

It's disappointing that we couldn't work something out. We will definitely miss him on the line there.
