IDIOTS !!!!

Post#1 » by Mission Man » Wed Aug 8, 2007 1:37 am

The Jests management that is.

Every other team signs the #1 to a five year deal. Our dumkopfs insist on six & hence force the holdout by Revis. Who can blame the kid ?

In Kendall they have a guy who goes about his business & simply wants to be paid fair value. But, nope, they can't "renegociate." Funny, but I re-call them renegociating with Chad when they weren't quite certain the extent to which he would come back & when it was to the "team's" advantage.

If they want to become champions, it starts by treating your guys fairly.

I love how the Jets organization has the no bull approach with players like that Pats, however at least the Pats dont try to jerk the rookies around with signings. Revis actually has a case, and in the end the Jets Front Office need to realize that they are the one's who are wrong.

I just hope all those Justin Miller reports have been true that he is ready to start.

from a no bull approach to an inflexible holier than thou attitude blended with a bit of hypocrisy.

Just pay the guys what they are worth !!

don't worry....a rookie wouldn't be stupid enough to hold out, and lose money his rookie season.............

Ever since the NFLPA lost its teeth, stuff like this happens way too often; ownership is allowed to control their personnel with few restrictions. Having management with a backbone that will stand up to unrealistic requests is one thing, but having management that undercuts team unity because of belligerence is another.

Revis deserves the same contract most of the other guys taken around him got. The extra year, while it would be nice to have on a guy that should anchor our corner, is totally unnecessary. Then there's the jerking around of Kendall. He was entirely right when he said our front office was unprofessional because they're not treating him with any respect.

I love the direction our team is going, but we shouldn't be intransigent about personnel decisions/bargaining. It's only a matter of time before the grumblings in the locker room reflect negatively on the product on the field. Cap flexibility/long term planning is one thing, but if it comes at the expense of making our team worse then it just isn't worth it.
