Vilma Likely Out For Rest Of Jets' Season

New York Daily News - Despite their worst start since 1999, the Jets still hope to salvage something positive from this season. They probably will have to do it without one of their top players, Jonathan Vilma.

Their defensive leader faces the likelihood of season-ending knee surgery, the Daily News has learned. Vilma had a battery of tests the last two days, which revealed a "significant" injury, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Vilma is said to be mulling his options, but the prevailing feeling is that surgery is inevitable. [READ]

This season just took another bad turn, Vilma is done for the season. I have to raise questions about this though, just a few days ago he was quoted as to being fine. Mangini was talking about Vilma having a serious injury, two contradicting statements.

The only positive that comes out of this is that Harris will see a lot more time. Though I wanted to see him and Vilma together.

Vilma may have played his last game in a Jets uniform.

Cant wait to see Harris stuff Lynch's ****.

I wouldn't really say a non-factor, although he has underachieved, but it's not his fault, we just don't work in a 3-4.
