Trade #6 (1,600) to Carolina for #13 (1,150) , #43 (470).

Carloina picks up Matt Ryan who is available at pick 6. The Jets add 2 good defensive players in Balmer and Groves instead of gambling on Gholston or S.Ellis at NT.

Trade Thomas Jones, Shaun Ellis, 4th rd pick to Cincinnati for Robert Geathers, pick #46.

Cincy gets a good RB to rotate with Rudi Johnson. Salary dump in moving Ellis but Cincy will use him to replace Geathers. Geathers is a good fit for the 34.

2nd:#46- Brandon Flowers CB - great sleeper pick as he is a junior and very talented
3rd:#67- Mike Hart RB - Michigan RB who is a jewel in a sick class of RB's
5th rd- Ahtyba Rubin NT - good NT prospect
6th rd- Tom Zbikowski S - safety whose hard hitting could be a good compliment to Rhodes
7th rd- Mario Urrutia WR - project WR

Balmer is going to be a rock on this defensive line for years. He has ideal size for a 34 DE (6'5", 305lbs). Mangini was raving over Pouha and he has a short, stout frame at 6'3" 325lbs. Rubin has the same exact height and weight as Pouha so they will rotate and hopefully one will emerge as the starting NT. Robertson, Coleman, and Kelly are good bodies to have in the rotation. definitely improved from last year.

Wow, what a sick LB group. Groves and Geathers can both rush the passer at will. Harris will rack up the tackles, TFL, sacks. Vilma will hopefully continue to adjust to the 34. If everyone plays up to their potential this is a great group.

FS-K.Hamlin, T.Zbikowski
SS-K.Rhodes, A.Elam

Revis and Rhodes both look like All-Pro DBs. Flowers looks like a great pick for Mangini who specializes in coaching DBs. He could develop into a great CB opposite Revis. Hamlin is a good compliment to Rhodes.

That Panthers trade won't happen. Too much for the Panthers.

Cincy might bite but I doubt it as Geathers is a very good young player and the they don't need another RB.

I don't like one of those FA signings.

Because of those trades not happening, the draft is isn't going to be that way, although I worry asbout a guy like Balmer. An underacheiver who turns it up senior year; much like a guy going for a big contract. Also I don't Tommy Z as my other S. I want a coverage guy to complement Rhodes.

Vilma isn't going to be a Jet next season.

Hamlin not worth the money he will demand.

Washington is not a regular back who can carry the load.

It's kinda unrealistic.

I doubt those trades would happen, IMO if a trade does go down I think it'll be with the Cowboys or maybe even the Texans or Bills for our pick. And Geathers is rising value and to trade him with TJ is kinda raping them.

I don't mind those free agency signings, I guess there just there for depth. But I'd love to get Suggs, Tommy Kelly, or Bell if possible.

Those picks are pretty weird, I think if we get those picks, we're picking Harvey(who I see dropping), Albert or Groves with the first. And the second round would go to someone like Minningham, or Kenny Phillips(who is believed to be going down, unless he proves himself in the Combine), but I wouldn't mind Williams at all. Other than that I'm fine with the other picks, other than the safety pick, which I believe should be another position and give Elam a chance. I think he did very well last year.

Like Jake said, Washington is not feature back material, I doubt he'd carry the ball 30 times and not get injured by week 6. He needs to touch the ball 30 times, but not run it.

Aside from the trades not happening, but how much of a cap hit are we taking from trading Ellis and Jones? Im sure its quite a bit. I dont want to trade down for Balmer at all, matter fact I want to stay as far away from him as possible.

I'm also a fan of Derrick Harvey but I doubt he'd make it past NE or the top 10. If he's our man I have no problem taking him at 6 and trading down would be too risky. Harvey? top 10? Are you on crack? As it stands right now, he needs to have an amazing combine and pro day to get into the top 15. He is in the 20-28 pick range.

I'm a huge fan of Harvey, and I really hope we trade with Dallas for their 2 picks, before NE does it and steals Harvey from us. I like Balmer, but I don't think Mangini is the coach to put him with. If you want Balmer to be amazing, the ideal team for him would be NE. That whole team and Belichick would just straight this guy out which I believe could bring out the best in him.

Also, I completely forgot about Cromartie, I'd take him with that pick if he's available, this guy is an athletic beast. Not as good as Antonio, but damn this guy can ball.

Leon is a utility player, he needs to be everywhere on the field in order for him to be effective, whether it be special teams, playing WR, or the second RB next to TJ. He's our own little Reggie Bush, and IMO for those type of players to be successful, they need a feature back in front of them so that they are utilized to their full ability. E.g. Duece with Bush, MoJo with Fred Taylor.
