The New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a trade that would send defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Bengals in exchange for Cincinnati's fourth- and fifth-round picks (Nos. 114 and 151) in the upcoming draft, according to league sources.
We get another fourth round pick and replace a fifth rounder in which we traded for Jenkins. While this is good value for Robertson, its another trade I dont like. I know he did not fit our system, but I believe he will have the last laugh.

Maybe you saw something in DR that I didn't because hardly showed me anything in his years with the Jets. If he suddenly blossomed into a star at Cincy, then that would signal a much different and more serious problem regarding our coaching and management IMO. I don't think that will be the case though.
If you project that DR plays about the same with Cincy as he did while with the Jets, then how do you evaluate the picks we got in return and the trade overall?

Considering what DT's have been fetching over the past few days, we made out great in the trade. We got rid of his HUGE contract, he did not fit our scheme. Plus with those two picks it gives us more flexibility to move up in the draft.
I just think people forget how good he finished the 2004 season and then carried it over into the 2005 season. Either way he is gone, just another player who failed to play in our system.

Well, Dbust wasn't in our plans this year unless we were going to play him at DE.
I figured that a trade was going to happen, and a 4 and 5 are good value for what he's shown so far.

Yo MP, we are trading guys from the old regime, all of these guys were are moving DO NOT FIT the 34 and do not make an impact in the 34. Probowl DTs were getting 3rd and a 5th, we are getting a 4th and a 5th for a huge bust. Lovely trade.
^ Fat, he cannot play DE, now way.

As durable as Jets defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson has been in New York, there are questions about his durability around the league.
Two NFL teams confirmed Thursday that if Robertson were in the draft this year, as he was when he was the fourth overall pick in 2003, he would be undraftable due to the condition of his knees.
Yet, facts are facts: Robertson hasn
