I'll be rooting hard for him, but well, you gotta be a little concerned with his calm demeanor...

I'm concerned but like they said, he's kinda new to football and I TRUST Tangini a WHOLE lot.... He's only 21.

We got a beast boys. After a Mangini TC, he'll be a monster.

I was a bit concerned when it looked like he was faking his smile and almost looked like he didn't want to be here. His little interview with Deion though eased my worries (I'm on NFL Network).

Great pick- better than if we got Darren McFadden.
The Jets might have restored their Sack Exchange with Gholston.

Unlike Chris Long and Matt Ryan who just talked down some prepared speech he said he was happy to be selected in front of the city he's playing in and when asked what the Jets can expect from him he said... "Hopefully a Super Bowel in the next few years, MAYBE even next year." Love those comments, nothing about him personan or individual but about team success. Honest answer, from the heart, love that!
Yeah, I was certainly more proud of the pick just off of that.

Seriously, it says something about a character when you don't pull some prepared sentence out of your pocket like Ryan or Chris Long but when you speak from your heart. I loved it.
Man, our front seven all of sudden looks NASTY big and strong...
Shaun Ellis 6-5, 285
Kris Jenkins 6-4, 345
Kenyon Coleman 6-5, 295
Calvin Pace 6-4, 270
David Harris 6-2, 245
Bryan Thomas 6-4, 266 (even though he propably won't start inside)
Vernon Gholston 6-3, 270
Now that's a 3-4 DEFENSE...

Very true and we need a corner... BADLY!!! I do not feel comfortable with Justin Miller as our second corner... but you'll never know... there will be tons of WR available in the second. Look who's still on the board - Devin Thomas, Limas Sweed, Malcom Kelly, Mario Manningham, James Hardy, all TEs... someone will drop, maybe even a high ranked corner like Jenkins...

I think we just need another corner, maybe another strong safety and this defense can control some games.

Barton is going to stay inside with Harris, I doubt they will break that up. Pace and Gholston on the outside should apply pressure all day long, Gholston is a beast and has all the tools to be great. Though there are cases where it dont work out, I hope he can be our Merriman or Ware for us.

At first I got scared that he didn't wanna be a Jet, but this interview cheered me up a bit.
