Well, we traded ourselves out of this draft to get him. Missing a whole 2007 scares me, but like Sanchez, had a great 08. I would've liked Jarron Gilbert though. I also would've liked a WR somewhere in the 4th, but hopefully we could pick up someone in FA or trade. Does it look like we can't bring both TJ and Leon in this season?

2007 was due to academic issues.
Missing a year
not due to an injury simply means less wear and tear on his body. The missing year sure as heck did not hurt him this past year, though.
He looks tough, has a low center of gravity, sees openings and gets to them, and he really does punish an opponent's D secondary. Not a burner, but looks a bit like Emmitt Smith to me.
I agree with your WR comment, and I think that if a WR they really wanted was available, they would have moved up to get him like they did with Green.

Reality check for T.J. Jets are willing to go without him and have a rookie Q.B. and rookie R.B. run the show next season.

I like the pick, it did't make sense at first but I eventually got it, after watching some highlights I really believe this guy has the potetial to be an everydown back, he can play.
Although I would've preferred Jarron Gilbert to add some youth and depth in our old D-line or stay in our original pick and took Derrick Williams but I do like this pick.

Very strong feet and it looks like he is going to be able to contribute right away. It will be interesting to see how we use him. On third downs Leon is the most dangerous because of his ability to catch the ball. Jones is still a bruiser as is Greene. He is coming off a great season and kind of reminds me Larry Johnson coming out of the draft. Coming out after one tremendous year and having fresh legs.
