OT: Jets working on that number one receiver?

Post#1 » by j4remi » Wed Aug 19, 2009 5:12 pm

New York Daily News - The Jets are looking for a wide receiver and both Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Bowe are on the team's radar.

They have had preliminary discussions with a number of teams, sources told the New York Daily News.

Marshall wants either a new contract or a trade from Denver.

Brandon Marshall, Thomas Jones, Leon Washington, Pro-bowl level linemen, Cotchery, Keller...Mark Sanchez will be on easy street if the Jets manage this. Let's not even discuss the defense. Of course, it's scary thinking what we'll probably have to give up for either of those guys, nothing short of a second rounder and later pick I'd bet. That's a nasty squad though...could make noise.

I would but I feel like all NY talk gets more eyes on the Knicks board. Rangers board has almost NO life. Yankees has some decent convo's. Jets board really didn't seem to have much activity at all even after the draft.

Lmao, same page man, I blocked out Dwayne Bowe from the article in my head because Marshall would be AMAZING.

Exactly, it must suck to be a Giants fan and still be obsessed with the Jets. That's like a Yankees fan sweating the Mets. You got your inferiority complex backwards fool.

meaning they would have to trade Cotchery...You think Denver is going to give up their best Reciever, and a top 5 reciever in the league without getting great value in return and a good WR to replace him?

well they just said on espn before that broncos are so thin at RB and moreno hurt his knee so i could defently see a THomas Jones 2nd and 4th round pick along with stuckey for him maybe look at clemens also...its not like orton is hands down the starter i mean he threw 3 picks last game..

You are on crack if you think you'll get either of those guys for anything less than a 1st rounder. Espeically Bowe. Marshall would be more likely, considering he's unhappy in Denver

Return to New York Jets
