Week 11: New York Jets Vs. New England Patriots

New England at New York Jets: One thing I took from the Patriots’ shocking MNF comeback win is how poorly their offensive line played. A great victory like that is a great kick-start to get other facets fine-tuned with confidence, but until the final 5 minutes of the game the Bills thoroughly won the battle up front. That does not bode well considering the pressure and talent of the Jets front-seven. I think the Patriots losing LB Jerod Mayo for at least six weeks is more decimating than the Bears losing Brian Urlacher for the year, and Leon Washington is just the type of back who can really take advantage. Jets 30, Patriots 20.
good that we get some respect from RealGM.
anyways, it's Sanchez vs. Brady at the QB matchup.
this is my first NFL GT, so please dont judge.
GO JETS!
edit: recycled GT, and no respect this time. realGM calls for 31-17 pats.

Sanchez stinks. He really needs to learn how to read the defense and make better decisions with the football.

Revis was godlike again though. It's a pleasure to watch him out there even if he gave up a short TD today. Other than that the Pats clearly wanted to test him and he was up for the challenge. Moss even had to hold him from behind so he doesn't intercept a pass against Brady. Pretty bad if you ask me especially when Moss couldn't give him credit after the first game this year. Revis was just spectacular again and is looking like the best CB to ever wear the green and white. Awesome building block for the future who should get all the money he demands from the Jets! He is the best cornerback in football and you don't let a guy like that walk under any circumstance!
Other than that, horrible first half but the team and especially the D showed some heart and fire. Shaun Ellis was good so was David Harris. Some of Sanchez mistakes are just mind boggling, I mean faking out 4 rushers near the sideline you have to throw it away. He never throws it away. Then people pick off his passes who are covering somebody else. Should never happen if you are atleast a bit accurate. Bodden had no business getting any of these picks, he just got lucky being in the right spot and Sanchez missed his receiver by miles.
Now the worst showing yesterday was Kerry Rhodes. Always talking, earning way too much money and then he totally craps the bed again. How can you get run over by Welker TWICE and then Maroney that bust... inexcusable! He doesn't hit hard, is always a second late and never ever seems to make a big play. Even Simms called him out big time yesterday for not bringing the wood against Welker over the middle, something almost any other starting safety in this league would have done. Just ask Welker how it felt playing against Ryan Clark from the Steelers last year... it is funny that such a performance comes a couple of days after Rhodes asked for Pro Bowl votes on twitter! R U SERIOUS?!!! Step up or shut up and I'm getting tired of his act really quick...
Some other tidbits:
- Lowery had decent stats returning but he will get himself killed if he continues to be as undecisisive as he is now. He doesn't hit a hole and is always looking around for blocks or waiting for a play to develop.
- How in goddamn hell do we call an option on 3rd and 2 in the NFL being down 24-0?! Ridiculous, Brian Schottenheimer, just a ridiculous and embarrassing call.
- Our secondary needs fresh blood, Lito and Strickland who I think is very good are never healthy and Lowery plus Coleman just aren't that good in my eyes and don't fit our scheme.
- I'm sick if carrying a guy like Larry Izzo on the roster. Does nothing for us and for a so called special teams ace, he has been very very bad.
-Weatherford and the special teams showed up yesterday. Kudos to Eric Smith for the blocked punt!
- We gotta get a stud pass rusher as soon as possible. BT doesn't scare anyone, Pace is just ok and we can't count on Ellis as a 3-4 DE to generate as much pass rush as he did yesterday.

I agree, revis is a stud, and harris and bart scott were all over the place again..
defense playe well, but was just put inhorrible situations by sanchez...
I guess this is the rookie growing pains. Sanchez makes some great throws then comes back with some stinkers.. His growing pains is costing us a playoff spot.. this defense is good enough to go to the playoffs with..
I agree about kerry rhodes, the guy intimidates no one, he isn't hitting anyone or intercepting the ball..
The pats DB's got those interceptions because sanchez was just that inacurate...
we need to draft a stud pass rusher. Having to blitz to get pressure all the time is just not good...
calling that option was just plain stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!
