OT: Are we done with NFL talk here?

Just curious about this. Short of something record breaking, or a favorite team making the playoffs, all I can see happening is smack talk. As of now, I don't see a basis for that, considering the Jets lost the last two games, eventhough they acquired Edwards recently. When both NY teams were 3 and 0, there was a LOT of smack talk going on.
So, are we done with NFL talk now?

I have to say that watching the Dolphins manhandle the Jets with the Wildcat offense was pretty damn amazing. One of the best football games I've seen.

There wasn't smack talk, the Jets are still a playoff team. They haven't had a full healthy defense yet all season and it's a cupcake schedule for the most part. Since Miami basically showed all of it's cards just to scrape a win out in the last play of the game...I'm not too concerned about the state of the team. Cotchery and Lito should be back next week, that'll be plenty.

exactly. they used up every play in their book and had to eek out a win... I am fine. We are still winning the division.... I wonder if Eli's bad feet will hold up tho for the giants... should be intersting..

Yeah, I will guarantee a Jets win if they are healthy by the time we play at home. Cotchery not being on the field (well, barely being on the field) had an impact...Lito missing had a huge impact with Henne basically picking targets aside from Ginn (who had one big play and was silenced pretty much the rest of the way). The fact that someone would try to gloat like this loss was the end when Giants fans were saying "it's just three games" before is pretty funny though. I think Eli should be fine, but the team has a very rough schedule for a while now and I don't picture the team dancing through unscathed.

Eli is one of the tougher guys in the league (even if he doesn't get credit for it) and a gamer, I'm sure he'll play through the pain. The hope is that he doesn't get hit hard on that spot and make it worse (Knock on wood)

I'd just like to say, I told you so to Giants fans that they would be underwhelming in this past stretch of the schedule...so let's not act like great minds, at least the Jets have a rookie QB and the loss of Jenkins and Washington to hang on.
