He wouldn't cost much, but the whole being 34 thing raises a flag.

for no more than a 2 year deal he would be a fantastic pick up. our secondary would be out of this universe if this happened. but how would we be able to get him if we aren't allowed to sign any FA if we dont give up one?

Sharper would be good on a short-term deal.

We still need to get a kicker, or re-sign Feely though.

I'd like to sign Sharper, but it has to be short term, maybe give him a 2-year contract with the last year being a team option with a higher amount of money, fair on both sides IMO.

I think we need to re-sign Feely, I think he's actually one of the most reliable kickers out there.

I think you have to take this opportunity, there is no way that a probowl saftey wants to play for the top defense at a reasonable price and you dont go after it. I think both sides know it wont be a long deal but we can easily do a 2 or 3 year deal with each one year being incentive heavy to make his money.

theres no way we're getting sharper we just let Feely go for about 1M a year, Sharper is going to want more than that.

Signed back with the Saints for one year.

He also had micro fracture surgery this offseason, thus why more teams didn't pursue him.

I read about that too, wasn't it only supposed to be an arthroscopic procedure?

I think if it wasn't for the surgery the Jets would have been all over Sharper. Unfortunately micro fracture surgery is extremely severe and it usually takes 2 full years for 20 year old to recovery. At 35 Sharper may never be the same player again.

He already signed a one-year deal with the Saints. Oh well.

This.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see.
