Are the Raiders dumb?

the raiders just sined Nnamdi Asomugha to a 1yrs deal bc of the franchise tag. I think the raiders are stupid for not giving this guy a long term deal. Thats my opinion

The Raiders and Nnamdi Asomugha failed to work out a long-term contract before the NFL deadline for franchise-tag players Tuesday. The cornerback will be bound to a one-year deal and can't resume negotiations until the end of the season.

Because paying 2 CBs longterm franchise money would be smart? :crazy:

This was an obvious move that most should have seen coming a mile away. No team is going to spend that kind of money on the CB positions..

It's more to see how it turns out, the tandem of Hall and Asomugha is one of if not the best corner tandems. The others would be Woodson and Harris in GB, Bly and Bailey in Denver. Add in Huff who hopefully steps his game up and Gibril Wilson, they have a solid looking secondary. It will really depend on the guys up front if they can get some pressure.

Besides the raiders will eventually lock up asomugha but he won' get as much as Hall.
