No News = Good News?

Post#1 » by FNQ » Thu Mar 26, 2009 6:35 pm

About this time of the year I'm getting lots of phone calls about who we like as a team in the draft and who's on our chopping block.

This year, nothing. My 2 most legit and rarely-fail sources have only let one nugget go - Justin Fargas and Michael Bush are both being shopped but are generating almost no interest. It gets me to thinking, are the Raiders playing it close to the chest or do we literally have nothing going on? The K.Barnes signing surprised my pals, as they heard little about it until the day of.

At Raiders HQ, there is the top man Al Davis, and 3 people beneath him who do the majority of the on-field personnel. It should be noted that the HC is never one of those 3 people. Anyhow, it seems that they are telling no one at all what their plan is for the draft or for free agency.

I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing yet.

No new is good news if you ask me. I hope we get Crabtree he the reincarnation of Fitzgerald if he's there we need to take him if not hopefully we'd trade down for an extra first pick up 1st Rnd Maualuga MLB and Heyward-Bay/Nicks 2nd Round Brace DT 3rd Round Vaughn SF I'd be extremely happy with day 1 looking like that
