Donovan McNabb

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:32 am

First rumbles of McNabb-to-Raiders trade terms emerge

Every once in a while, we develop a tipster who builds a track record of providing tips that end up being true.

And one of our latest tipsters who has been accurate with past tips (for the most part) has now given us a tip regarding the trade terms that possibly would send Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Raiders.

Per the tip -- uncorroborated but nevertheless intriguing -- McNabb and cornerback Asante Samuel would go to Oakland, and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha would go to Philadelphia.

We don't know whether an offer of this nature has been made. We suspect that the Eagles would, at a minimum, want to replace Samuel with Sheldon Brown.

Anyway, stay tuned. This is all uncorroborated, but we know that our friends in Philly are desperate for information, and that our friends in Oakland are desperate for hope. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... ms-emerge/

knowing Al, he'll probably trade for McNabb and then sign Owens afterwards.

The #39 and AwesomeWah for Samuel and McNabb would be OK so long as we use our #1 on a OT.

I'm down with McNabb, since we've invested a ton of money in our young offensive players, we need a QB that we know can lead them.

^ I thought we gave up our #1 in that Seymour trade with the Patriots. Maybe I'm wrong.

I don't want to trade Nnamdi, but I'd love to have Mcnabb. He'd make our offensive talent look so much better.

McNabb, according to a source, according to TMZ, would not be OK with a trade to Oakland.

Now I know that we aren't exactly a desireable place to be, but we have talent. We really just need a leader... I think that if the story were true, McNabb's cred takes a HUGE hit in inner-league circles... Oak needs a QB and a leader, and supposedly one of the best on the market doesn't want to do it?

That screams "SOFT" to me...

I have a feeling he said that once he knew Washington was a strong possibility.
