Giants announced it will be Ortiz.

Edit: I can't wait to see PM pitch again tonight. If he can show a few things in August and September we may actually be able to make some trades this offseason.

How many times has Lincecum piched like Nolan Ryan only to see the bullpen blow the shutout and the game in the 9th?

Cain and Zito had some of their best efforts wasted too.....funny...the Giants appear to have relief pitching in the farm system.
CENSORED... No comment.

Heart breaker! Lincecum pitched sooo well...all the way to the ninth. His pitch count was way low, he had it going on, 7k's a 2 hit shutout, then bamb-bamb-bamb, next thing you know he gets the loss. Sad... Very Sad!

I hate to second guess Bochy but there is no way that i would have let Durham hit in the eighth. He was not seeing the ball well at all. That would have been a perfect time to pinch hit, Frasen maybe, or even Davis. Maybe if we would then have picked up those ducks on base, it very well may have broken their back. I know 20/20 vision and all but it looked like a obvious move to make at the time.

In my opinion, that loss falls 99% on Boch. At this point in the year, you do not let a rookie go into the 9th. Yes, he was awesome throghout the entire game but he has also logged a lot of innings and that is a very young arm. Bring in Henn or Wilson to start the 9th and the Giants win I strongly believe. I have not been empressed with Boch at all this year, which is surprising to me because I thought it was a good hire.

A complete shame if he is not the NL starter in the All-Star game. He has been the most dominate pitcher so far this season by a large margin. Period!

Large margin? Not really. He was third before his last start. I'd like to see Tim starting too, but to say Volquez doesnt deserve it is crazy.
