He was 272 at his pro day.. Ran a 4.84 40 at 300 lbs. Probably our Tuck replacement. Dude is definitely a + athlete. Football pedigree. There are things to like about him. Projects to play a lot like (lol) Lamaar Houston

I'm not a fan of DT-Mario Edwards Jr. in the 2nd Round. I rather have DT-Marcus Hardison from Arizona St. in the 4th Round than DT-Mario Edwards Jr.

Blalock still out there too. But our run blocking is looking much better right now with Smith and Walford..
Serious though, if you had to neglect one spot on offense, which would it be? Remembering that we're not employing a FB this year

Mario is a DE, kicks insides for passing downs. He's replacing Tuck, not a 2 down DT.

I liked Maxx a little bit better. I didn't think we were looking TE at this point but we got him at a pretty good spot.
I actually like that pick.
YOU GUYS WANTED CARR TO HAVE WEAPONS!
BOOM. WEAPONS!
I didn't mind that pick. I just hope he's ready to contribute right away. He's going to be a 24-year-old rookie. A little older than the typical 21-year-old, 22-year-old rookie, but that's how football is. You don't have a lot of years to play this game.

WR-Rashad Greene from Florida St. is going to be a steal for someone in the final couple of picks in the 3rd Round or in the 4th Round.

Ifro would be a steal in rd4. Was top CB before tearing his ACL

Carl Davis goes 90th.. mockers had him in 1st/2nd. DTs with no pass rush potential are day 3 picks, late day 3 picks. Bet Stanford's David Parry winds up better

CB-Bobby McCain from Memphis is a sleeper! He's most likely going to be in the 5th Round.

The more and more I hear about DE-Randy Gregory, I'm glad we didn't waste a 2nd Round Pick or a 3rd Round Pick on him. Failed drug tests, anxiety problem, depression, liar, and showing up late to interviews? Oh man! Too much of a problem. No thank you.

Can't think of a less important position on offense really. Non blindside, doesn't call out protections..
Kounadijo still out there I'm pretty sure

Re: The Oakland Raiders 2015 Draft Thread
Not disagreeing with you per se.
But, I'm not a fan of our young QB having holes in his offensive line as we're trying to develop him. it's a hole and for all intents and purposes, there's practically nothing there. Could help us run the football (which, i dunno is beyond important to me although most people just wanna throw the ball everywhere). Looks like we're going to focus on running it this year because last year was terrible….. and a part of Derek's development is going to be able to trust the interior when he steps up in the pocket to drive the ball down the field.
I was thinking G before TE tbh. Viewed grabbing a TE as a luxury in this draft. But only because I knew we had nothing at RG. Still happy with the Clive pick.

Re: The Oakland Raiders 2015 Draft Thread
I think they are comfortable with Barnes / Watson competing for the spot. LE is usually a run stuffer more than a pass rusher, so the need to protect Carr in that spot isnt huge.
I think they wanted Marpet honestly

Re: The Oakland Raiders 2015 Draft Thread
Yea. Thought he may have dropped to us in the 3rd but oh well. Not a bad pick by Tampa. It's actually kind of funny how all those Gs got picked right before they got to us.

Reggie likes Edwards…lol, obviously.
and he Sunseri was instrumental in helping him evaluate.
says he's a good pass rusher but not a speed rusher.

Why would we take another DT?
