Von Miller likely to accept extension

NBC Denver reports Broncos franchise player Von Miller is expected to accept a six-year, $114.5 million extension that includes $70 million guaranteed before Friday's deadline.
The years and total money have been in place for over a month. It appears the Broncos upping their guarantee to $70 million is what's pushing talks toward the finish line. The guaranteed money would easily be the most ever for a defensive player, and second only to Andrew Luck in NFL history.

Dolphins signed S Nate Allen to a one-year, $3.4 million contract.
Allen signed a "four-year, $23 million" deal with the Raiders two years ago, but was released after one season. He ended up re-signing for less money, but remained ineffective in 2016, and was allowed to walk. He'll be a body behind SS Reshad Jones as the Dolphins figure out how to replace Isa Abdul-Quddus.

Aqib Talib

Three NFL general managers said at the Senior Bowl that they would not trade for Broncos LCB Aqib Talib.
Per ESPN Broncos reporter Jeff Legwold, all three GMs said they believe Talib will eventually be released, making him an unrestricted free agent. The mere fact that the Broncos have made it public they want to deal Talib lowers his value. Turning 32 next month, Talib continued to play at an extremely high level in 2017, earning PFF's No. 15 overall cornerback grade among 120 qualifiers.

According to Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey, Ben Roethlisberger told teammates he plans on playing at least three more seasons.
Roethlisberger had already confirmed his return for next season, but now it looks like he'll remain in Pittsburgh at least through the end of his current contract, which runs through 2019. The Steelers made an appeal to Big Ben last week by replacing his nemesis Todd Haley with QBs coach and noted-Roethlisberger advocate Randy Fichtner at offensive coordinator. The two-time Super Bowl champ turns 36 in March.

Larry Fitzgerald told Cardinals coach Steve Wilks he will return for the 2018 season.
"Larry mentioned to me last night that he's coming back for the 2018 season," Wilks said on the Doug and Wolf Show. "He's totally committed, those are his words." It is not a huge surprise, but Fitzgerald returning for his 15th season is still a massive boost for the first-year head coach. Even with the future Hall of Famer back in the fold, the Cardinals have a lot of work to do on offense this offseason, most importantly finding a quarterback and surrounding Fitzgerald with a better receiving corps.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Richard Sherman "has told teammates goodbye over the last 24 hours" and says he won't be on the Seahawks in 2018.
Rapoport's colleague, Tom Pelissero, reports Sherman will meet with GM John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll on Wednesday to "discuss his future." This all started with a cryptic tweet from teammate CB Jeremy Lane, suggesting Sherman was leaving the team. The Seahawks can save $11 million in cap space by cutting Sherman, who is entering the final year of his deal. The hangup, however, is that Sherman is not even close to being healthy after tearing his right Achilles' last season and then needing a cleanup on his left one this offseason. This situation bears watching in the coming hours and days leading up the new league year. Sherman denies RapSheet's report.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders "plan to make a run" at free agent S George Iloka.
Iloka has an obvious link to Oakland as the Raiders employ ex-Bengals DC Paul Guenther. Joining Oakland would also allow Iloka to reunite with former teammate Reggie Nelson. The 28-year-old was cut by Cincinnati on Sunday after being beaten out by second-round rookie Jessie Bates at Bengals training camp.

What a cluster, I am quite unsure how I feel about this whole situation.

Don't misunderstand I WILL ALWAYS BE a Raiders fan & always root for the Raiders wherever they are/will be.

Now if I actually LIVED in Oakland, I'd imagine I'd be quite pissed so I can kind of see where they are coming from if I put myself in their shoes.

(Say if the Leafs or Raptors ever moved, or like the London Knights or London Lightning).

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports there is a "high probability" Antonio Brown is traded.
Brown is due a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17, so the Steelers will press to get the deal done before then. Trading Brown will cost the Steelers $20.2 million against the 2019 salary cap, but some of that will be negated by the $14.5 million cap credit they will receive because of Le'Veon Bell's holdout. Still, it is a large price to pay to not have one of the best receivers in the league. The Steelers should do everything they can to resolve this situation before resorting to a trade.

There’s No Way the Steelers Are Going to Trade or Cut Antonio Brown

Let’s cut through the noise to the reality of the business of football: Antonio Brown is not going anywhere. I know the narrative: He’s worn out his welcome in Pittsburgh, problems with teammates, coaches, blah, blah, blah. However, this is one of those situations where the Steelers have made their bed with Brown’s heavily bonused contract. Brown is uncuttable and untradeable. He would cost the Steelers more than $21 million on their cap if he is not on the team, only $1 million less that he would cost if he were on the team. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/01/08/steelers-antonio-brown-trade-cut-salary-cap

ESPN's Jeff Dickerson reports Bears GM Ryan Pace was "noncommittal" on the idea of pursuing free agent RB Kareem Hunt this offseason.
The Bears will be a rumored destination because of coach Matt Nagy's Chiefs connection. Pace did not exactly deny it at Monday's season-ending presser, while Nagy said he has spoken to Hunt by phone this month. "It’s an unfortunate situation (and) learning lesson for everybody," Nagy said. Currently being investigated for three separate off-the-field incidents, Hunt probably isn't going to generate any interest until the length of his suspension is known.

B/R Betting shared the latest odds from Bookmaker for where Brown will play next season, and the San Francisco 49ers paced the field at +200 (bet $100 to win $200). The New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals also come in ahead of the Steelers:

Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray said that he will decide between a future in the NFL or MLB "soon."
Murray (5'10/195) made his comment while speaking with the NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano down in Atlanta for the Super Bowl. The Heisman winner did not elaborate as to a specific timetable for his decision, but with spring training for the Oakland A's starting up in late February, it's not going to be far off. The A's drafted Murray with the No. 9 overall pick in the MLB amateur draft last summer. Should he opt to stick with football over baseball, he could potentially land as a top-10 selection. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein recently projected him to the Raiders with the No. 4 pick in his first mock draft of 2019.
