Now we give the donkeys plenty of time to drive it on our suspect defense for a tie or win. What is wrong with Bill Musgrave? How do you get great field position, then, up three, act like you are up 14 by handing it off up the middle for zero yards repeatedly? Did you not learn your lesson from your prior fail from ahead forth quater losses?

Yup, Game Ball goes to Khalil Mack! But he should share it with Khalil Mack. If he doesn't get defensive player of the week Oaklland should riot!

Mayowa had a good game too. The good thing is that Mayowa, Autry and Edwards are doing it vs normal blocking not because Mack is getting double teamed. As long as everyone is producing, Mack will keep seeing single blockers and dominating.

I am not sure if Mack is more like Derrick Thomas as the broadcasters stated, I personally think he is more like Lawrence Taylor from my memories. he isn't your classic OLB but he can play one. he isn't your classic 4-3 DE like our own Howie, but he can be one. he is a pure rusher who can simply take over games and make difference.
ehhhhh f it.

So proud of this team gutting this win out.

Khalil Mack is looking like the next great defensive talent. Don't forget how much of a beast this guy is against the run. The fact that he's leading the league in sacks now almost brings a tear to my eye.

IDGAF what their defense did in the 1st half. Carr only threw for yap yap yap yap.
Raiders nutted up. Took the shutout they pitched in the 1st half and pitched their own in the 2nd half.
Eat a dick and die Denver.

oh and how about my man Ben Heeney?

dudes a ball hawk and forced a turnover out there today.
Still need more help at ILB but my goodness I cannot wait until Lofton's days in a uniform are up.

I liked Heeney from the preseason... he can overpursue at times but he reminds me of Chris Borland. Glad to finally see him get some PT

I will never understand the RB grades for PFF. Murray was not a + player yesterday, even with the line failing to open holes. Not his fault (looking at you Musgrave) but still, cmon.

As for Mack, I've never seen an individual game grade so high since that JJ Watt Sack/INT/FF/TD reception game last year. Cool that they saw the same thing we did with Heeney, MEJ, Autry, Heeney, and Mayowa. But did Hayden get hurt or is Thorpe really outsnapping him 2:1? And I dont recall seeing Orr or Dexter McDonald out there. Also we gotta stop putting Carrie at safety, he seems to go down once a game. He's a good cover corner, let's just use him as that.

I also will not be happy until Walford is getting 80% of TE snaps. Love Lee, but in a game where we aren't getting a push running the ball, I'd rather have a pass-catching threat at TE than our run blocker. Cooper has hit the wall, hard.

My response: We seriously don't have an emergency long snapper?

I think our backup long snapper is Lee Smith. Lee Smith is still playing with a cast on his hand right? So basically we had no backup long snapper.

Does anyone remember the 2012 MNF game vs. the Chargers, when our long snapper got injured and non-backup long snapper Travis Goethel was pressed into duty, to disastrous results? Apparently Del Rio does not remember that night.

While I wouldn't dream of saying we need a new HC, the coaching staff has definitely made some key mistakes this year. And with JDR as our HC, you can't say its a learning curve, he should know this stuff by now.

I will say though, despite our statistics offensively, I would not be against a new OC. He's desperately trying to shoehorn our current roster into his preferred play style, and we're just not that team, no matter how bad Musgrave and JDR want to be a running/defense team. I would love to bring Pep Hamilton here, who's an offensive genius not unlike Lazor and Hue, and we actually have the offensive personnel to make it work. Pep had to deal with an atrocious O-line and Luck's injury, and Lazor had a vastly overrated QB and WR corps.

I don't think Del Rio would send Musgrave away again, so soon. But Pep would be a great coordinator for any team to bring in - maybe SF will hire him.

Blame Musgrave all you want but he isn't going anywhere. This staff is just getting started.
