The first round pick we acquired in the Amari Cooper trade will be the 27th pick in the first round.

Mock Drafts

4. Oakland Raiders

Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama. The Raiders need to reconstruct the entire defense -- essentially -- and it starts up front. Williams is a young, insanely developed, powerful defensive tackle who'll pair wonderfully with Maurice Hurst.

24. Oakland Raiders (via Chicago)

Devin White, LB, LSU. Maybe a little longer than you were expecting White to last? If the Bengals don't pick him, he could sink a bit in April. White is a big, athletic, see-ball, get-ball linebacker who excels as a blitzer.

27. Oakland Raiders (via Dallas)

Kelvin Harmon, WR, NC State. Awesome value here for Mike Mayock, Jon Gruden, and Co. Harmon is a smooth operator at 6-3 and 215 pounds. He has plus body control and strong hands ... a combination that allows him to always be open when he's really not.

Gotta nail ALL of these picks.

And the offseason FA signings. Turn this ship right around!

RAIDERS 4 LIFE!

Def agree D# for the first 2 picks.

Hell maybe even the 3rd pick.

We could probably get a good FA WR for super cheap in the offseason.

Let's get some more opinions up in here.

I know nothing about NCAA/NCAA prospects so. Don't follow it at all.

I hope we pursue Kareem Hunt

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms "multiple teams" are interested in signing free agent RB Kareem Hunt.
This echoes a similar report filed by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Hunt is facing a lengthy suspension for multiple off-field discretions, most notably a physical altercation with a woman outside his Cleveland hotel last February. His punishment should be decided before free agency opens in March and according to Schefter, the 23-year-old shouldn't struggle for interest on the open market. Bears coach Matt Nagy has already said he'd be open to reuniting with Hunt, who he coached while serving as the Chiefs' offensive coordinator in 2017. The league's leading rusher last season, Hunt has undergone daily anger management counseling since late November and teams have reportedly been pleased by the progress he's made. Schefter was told by one league source that Hunt will return to the NFL "sooner rather than later," though he'll need to be reinstated from the commissioner's exempt list before that can happen.

Derek Carr's $19.9 million base salary for 2019 becomes fully guaranteed on Wednesday at 4 PM ET.
That plus a $100K workout bonus gives Carr a guaranteed $20 million this year. Carr was not good in coach Jon Gruden's first year on the job. Carr did complete a career-best 68.9% of his passes and topped 4,000 yards for the first time, but he threw just 19 touchdowns and absorbed 51 sacks after his previous-most taken was 31 in 2015. Carr is just brutal under pressure and needs everything to be right around him to have success. Gruden is going to give Carr at least one more year under center. It will be easier and easier to get out of this contract as time goes on.

Wow jeez, what a brutal assessment!

His Oline didn't do him any favors just saying....

Need to be more healthy & more depth/cohesion this year on the Oline for Carr to play better potentially.

EDIT: Not aimed at you HMFFL, realize your just cross posting it.

Raiders set to give an NFL record deal for an offensive lineman to former Niners 7th round pick Trent Brown!? WTF? Didn't Raiders less than a year ago use the #15 overall pick for a LT? Was that pick a bust or are Raiders spending record money for a RT? WTF WTF!?

I have absolutely no idea about this signing. I do know I don't like the money that was given out.

We signed Tyrell WIlliams.
Not a bad WR core with Antonio Brown, Jordy Nelson (slot received), and Tyrell WIlliams.

But after making Brown the highest-paid offensive lineman in history, it’s presumed Miller will move to right tackle.

No one, though, is yet saying that.

“To be determined,” Brown said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Whatever is best for the team is where I’ll be.”

So are we done signing FA? Are we capped out or any room left?
