Don't know all the details as SportsCenter just reported it as "This Just In" news, but I remember hearing it being a 6-Year deal, making Wilson the 3rd highest paid safety in football.

Well hell, so far this offseason we've learned Oakland isn't afraid to spend some dollars. :D

I like the signing though. Wilson is solid, and we just improved by a good bit in the defensive backfield.

Also, I was just thinking.

Could this deal...really....mean the end of...Stuart Schwags!???!?!?!

GOD LETS HOPE SO! :D

Ok we're spending money, thats good. But everything I've heard about Gibril the past day is that he's a tackling safety and very much, not a coverage one. Butler was the coverage guy...

That said, its likely the end of Schweigert, and its about time. I question the fit, and I think we're spending more money on these players than we should. But, we are the Raiders and people dont line up to play for us :D

Short term, I really like this move though.

With Jerry Porter signing with the Jags, our new #1 FA priority has to be WR, and that WR has to be Bernard Berrian... we have so many selling points for him too. Cap room. Rifle armed QB who loves to go deep. He's be our unquestioned #1. Good O-line, good enough RB. #4 pick in the draft... cmon Berrian
