Raiders owner Al Davis is pretty quick to fire a head coach. Just ask the past four Raiders head coaches, none of whom reached a third season.
Because every yin needs a yang, Davis takes his careful time finding a replacement head coach. Just ask the past four coaches, all of whom waited at least three weeks to get hired.
Keep that in mind as the name dropping gets heated this week in the Raiders' latest head-coaching search. Davis might not want the interview process to drag into February, but he isn't about to get in a rush for the sake of rushing.
"There's no real timetable, but the feeling is he doesn't want to let it linger," Raiders executive John Herrera said.
Falcons wide receivers coach Terry Robiskie is the latest potential candidate making his way around league circles.
