Jackson signs 4-year deal & Training camp

Post#1 » by m23uza1hem36 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 1:55 pm

Can't believe it took so long to lock this guy up, I've heard a lot about how high the Eagles are on him as a play maker and even a slot receiver. He's expected to start making an impact right away on special teams as a return man, don't really know how we're going to use him as a slot receiver, in fact, our receiving core as usual is so weak or should I say "un-famous" who knows who will be our Kevin Curtis this year because I doubt he'll have the numbers he had last year (some inflated stats).

Anyway, you can watch the Eagles training camp at the website (www.philadelphiaeagles.com), they will have there first full team camp with pads on the 26th.

The camp starts today though at 4:30 ET time.

I still haven't seen him play because I don't live in the Philly area. Is he really looking that good?

Jackson has a good feel for the game. He knows how to get open (granted, this is preseason), he has very good hands, and he can take a hit (he took a couple good shots already). And of course he's got the speed and quickness.

He has really impressed me so far, he may be the best WR on the team.

He looks good on punt returns too but the blocking in front of him needs some work.

Hopefully Jackson's decent (not great) pre-season will carry over to the regular season. With Curtis being down for a bit, Jackson has a chance to really step up and have some big games extremely early in his NFL career.

I agree, he could actually be our best receiver BEHIND Kurtis.

Someone posted this in the general forum...

In all seriousness, I am a little concerned with his attitude. I don't have a problem with TD celebrations (assuming you actually score a TD...) but it sounds like this kids ego is through the roof. Now I see why the Eagles (except Westbrook) were blatantly downplaying his good preseason so much.

I just hope he doesn't get himself thrown out of town TO style.
