We had a chance to address our offensive line during the off season, but didn't. Instead, we drafted a running back that doesn't play (I liked the pick), a receiver that doesn't play, and some linebackers that play on special teams.
The bottom line is that we got exposed in a big way in this game today. All teams have to do against us is blitz. Big Ben doesn't even know how to get rid of the ball in situations like these, he almost always eats the turf and takes the sack instead of throwing the ball away. He fumbled once, threw an interception, and took a sack for a safety. This isn't all on him, the offensive line flat out sucks.
It is going to be a long season IMO.

Re: Steelers @ Eagles
This is the most horrible I've heard Steelers have played. I didn't get a chance to see the matchup due to the Jags/Colts game. I guess thankfully I didn't see it until the last 2:00 in the game. Big Ben getting sacked 8 times really was insulting to the Burgh and their history of playing tough defense. The Steelers can't afford to have more screw ups like this game. they really need to go to work on their mistakes and play better for next week's game.

^^^ There were a few positives that can be taken from this game. The high powered offense that the Eagles displayed in the first two games of the season got shut down for the most part. Our defense gave a solid performance. We got after their QB and had a few sacks of our own. The secondary never really gave up the big play and got a couple of picks. They did out rush us as a team, but we still held their running game in check.
Our offense is what killed us in this game and it started and ended with the offensive line.

In that case, this would be the second week in a row that the offense has been hard to come by for the Steelers. Last week against the Browns was the defenses of both teams making the game a low scoring affair as expected. Then today's game with the O-line coming under pressure and collasping against the Philly blitz. They need to be careful b4 they find themselves going backwards. hopefully next weekend they will have their stuff together and Big Ben can shake off his injuries.
