Injury Report:

Steelers
M. Pouncey Questionable/illness
A. Smith Out
B. Keisel Doubtful
F. Adams Probable

Saints
R. Bush Out
P. Thomas Out
J. Greer Doubtful
T. Porter Questionable

Preview:

Pittsburgh (5-1) finished 8-8 in 2006, a season after winning Super Bowl XL, and didn't make the playoffs again the year after its victory in Super Bowl XLIII. The Steelers again look capable of a return to championship form, but the Saints (4-3) are the latest example of a title team to struggle the following season. New Orleans has committed 14 turnovers in its last five games, and lost for the third time in that stretch Sunday against Cleveland as Brees was intercepted four times in a 30-17 defeat at the Superdome. "We're all in the midst of trying to put our finger on what exactly is going on," Brees said after throwing his 10th pick in the five-game stretch -- one fewer than he had last season. "We know the type of team we have. We know the type of work ethic we have. The effort is there. Guys want to win. Guys want to be great."

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who suffered through the worst season of his career after his first Super Bowl title, can relate to the Saints' struggles. "You're going to get everybody's best shot," said Roethlisberger, who's thrown five TDs and posted a 122.4 passer rating since returning from his four-game suspension. "A lot of the hard part about it is your off time is so short. ... There's a lot of expectations on you. You kind of put the pressure on yourself just as much as anyone else does."

Prime time football for a change. I was beginning to think that every game was going to be a 1:00 pm starting time. I don't know about you guys, but I am looking forward to the late starting time.

Hopefully, Pouncey will get to feeling better, he is already the anchor of the line and it would hurt the offense if he is out for this game. We are already shorthanded on the defensive line, and could be on the offensive line if Adams and Pouncey can't go.

The Saints have two CB's that are nursing injuries, so that might be something worth exploring with some bombs from Big Ben to Wallace.

Hey loco. I hope you don't mind me adding a couple of pics in the spirit of Halloween.

The Steelers are banged up defensively which means they have to step up even more. Last week's performance inspite of the win has to be better tonight against the Saints well known offense.
Look for the Steelers blitz package to put pressure on Brees. The running game for NO has been inconsistant to this point. Let's make sure it stays that way for tonight's game.

The Saints should win the challenge, but it will be 1st and goal for the Steelers from the inch line. A QB sneak will get 6 here.

Why do the Steelers have to make everything so damned difficult? We have to settle for fg when it was 1st and goal from the 1 fricking inch line. All they had to do was run a QB sneak, but instead elected to try and run it in, which failed 3 times in a row :banghead:

3-0 Steelers.

The Steelers had another opportunity to put some points up on the board, but came away with nothing. Now instead of taking a lead into the half, they are looking to go in tied or trailing. I swear the Steelers are doing everything in their power to lose this game tonight. They are beating themselves.

3-3 at the half, but it could be 14-0 or 10-0 or 6-0. Instead it is tied up. Squandering opportunities like the Steelers have had is never good, but it is terrible to do it in a hostile environment.

It's 13-3 saints now, the steelers are getting beat on both sides of the ball. The early mistakes are going to cost them tonight and they will be 5-2 once it is over, unless a miracle happens.

Well what do you know, Mendenhall broke a long run for a TD

13-10 Saints with plenty of time left to do something.

The Steelers got the turnover they needed, started to drive down the field, but Heath Miller coughs up the football and gave it right back the the Saints.

13-10 Saints with somewhere around 6 minutes left to go in the game. It's the Saints ball 1st and 10 on about their 45. Another mistake by the Steelers.

This sux. Saints got in the endzone. The Steelers keep shooting themselves in the foot in the secondary. Something is different about the secondary that's allowing the QBs to find holes where the receiving core keeps picking up yrdges.

It is because the defensive line isn't getting its normal push up front to rush/pressure the QB with all of the injuries. Notice they didn't do much blitzbergh in this game? This is why.

5-2 the Bengals are next.
