We've been doing family picks (with a few friends invited) for a couple of decades now. Everyone throws in a buck for each wrong pick so the pots get a little fat. Last year we had 9 playing and the pot ended up over $900 - I did not win but one of my grandsons had a damn good time with $900. We don't go against the spread - just make it a little fun for all of us.

Yes.

The Jaguars are geniuses at finding ways to lose. The Colts are notorious for starting horribly and then somehow coming back in the second half. It's not over.

Colts sure aren't looking like anything special today

Who on Earth do you know was willing to favor the Colts and give 8 1/2? Are they still taking bets?
A couple other games that catch my eye are Steelers-Chiefs. I really want KC, but I think the Steelers have a classic bounce back game and win by about 10.
Patriots will make an example of the Bills.
Jets handle business at home against the Seahawks
Ravens grab one more ugly win over the west coast Raiders having to travel east though I typically like to stay away from predicting games where I have rooting interest.

Last time I put money on a game with a bookie... Super Bowl XIV. Had the Rams +11.5 for $500. Haven't done it since.

I hit a parlay Thursday night and a college 5 teams teaser yesterday. I'm on a major hot streak this week. I wish all weeks were this good. I did have to sweat out the Tennesse game yesterday though.

My straight up picks weren't terrible, but I did rrrrrreeeally bad in the pick 'em this week. I'm terrible at picking against the spread, that's why I don't let myself go to Vegas.
