Draft Day 2007

Post#1 » by SD2042 » Sat Apr 28, 2007 9:31 pm

Here's the update to today's NFL draft for the Pittsburgh Steelers so far.

Drafted at #15 for the Steelers is OLB Lawrence Timmons out of Florida State.

Timmons obviously was a need the Steelers wanted to fill to replace the loss of former OLB Joey Porter(Miami).

Drafted at #46- DE LaMarr Woodley out of Michigan

With the draft now over. What is on the minds of Steelers fans on the selections the Steelers made?

Draft was a typical Steelers draft. Boring as hell.

I won't lie, I was disappointed when we past on Leon Hall when he was still available at 15th. Obviously our first 2 picks shows that the Steelers were focused on pass rushing. My concern is still the corners. Even the analysts at the draft mentioned that the holes were at LB and CB.

Timmons better be good...

Spaeth is a nice pick as he provides more run blocking for Parker.

Gardocki is consistent and reliable. So did we really have to give up an extra pick for a punter.

I was kinda perplexed about them picking a punter since Gardocki is consistant with his kicks. And you're right. The Steelers draft was straight boring and didn't have any flash at all. And half of these guys they drafted. I never heard much about them anyhow. Hopefully some of these guys can work out.

I think we should have gotten Michael Bush somewhere, and the kicker was unnecessary. But overall, the first three rounds looked good and I feel like Woodley will be a very good NFL player.
