We do this every off season on the basketball board to try and keep things moving along. Maybe it will help to get some involvement going on this board.

Fact or Fiction

Good question to ask. I don't think he will be #1, but at least the top 3 or 4 rushers this season. Right now, you have to consider Michael Turner who really has been on a tear with the Falcons, Adrian Peterson, can't forget about him, and LT. I haven't seen his numbers recently, but he's considered in the top 5. Here's my unofficial ranking for the time being.

1. Peterson
2. Turner
3. Parker
4. LT

Next Question:

Big Ben will get sacked more times this season than last?

Wow, good question after watching how effective that a defensive blitz scheme can completely shut us down, I would have to think fact. But, I will try and remain optimistic for now and say fiction.

Fact or Fiction

Will we even use Sweed in the offense this season? I mean dang, we spent a high draft pick on this guy, he was our second rounder. If we aren't going to use him, I would have rather seen that pick get spent on an offensive lineman, will we even use him this year?

I think we will see him sometime during the season. Just not as much. He will get the Matt Speath treatment.

Question

Will Rashard Mendenhall be productive on Monday against the Ravens?

I don't think he will now that the Ravens defense has his number singled out, but he could be a beneficial decoy in this game by running some play action through him.

Fact or Fiction

Polamalu will keep his streak going and get a pick in his 4th straight game? The one he had last week was top notch replay material.

I meant to ask this question last week and i've would've said yeah. Polamalu is that good at his position and knows where to pick the ball off his opponent's routes with near accuracy. Although he didn't collect a INT last game, he will collect more during the season.

Fact or Fiction

Will the Steelers O line hold up against the Jags D line?

I thought we might take this game. We have owed these guys for a few years now. The offensive line still wasn't great, and a lot of the pressure Big Ben takes is because of Big Ben always trying to hit the home run. He holds onto the ball way too long. I don't know if the offensive coordinator isn't giving him short passes or if Big Ben doesn't like the short stuff. I thought one of the nicest plays we ran was a fake handoff to Moore followed by a sideline screen back to Moore. Actually, Moore saved the day for us. He had had a nice game and finished up with 99 rushing yards, and I know he caught a few passes, so he filled in well IMO. Our coach is the guy that went out and got him this past offseason. I guess coach knew something that none of us did about the guy fitting into what we do.

Anyway, I would have guessed fact. I just had a feeling that we were going to bounce back and have a better game, but dang, we still have a long ways to go.

Fact or Fiction. Will Cincy get its first win of the season against us?

Hell naw! Cincy's too banged up and inconsistant to attempt to take the Steelers down unless something real crazy were to happen.

Fact or Fiction

You would wait after the score come in to give up an answer.

I believe that if the Burgh continue to play consistantly w/o having more key injuries taking place. They should claim a bye in the playoffs.

That's a brain teaser and a fiction. I hope that he doesn't get sack that many times. Maybe Big Ben gets sack at least twice.
