Steelers sign Hartwig to extension

Starting center Justin Hartwig signed a three-year contract extension with the Steelers today, agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed.
Hartwig's signing comes right before Thursday night's season opener against the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field. Steelers management has a policy of not negotiating with players during the regular season.
Hartwig, who joined the Steelers last season, was entering the final year of a two-year deal.
The 6-5, 312-pound Hartwig started every game at center for the Steelers last season.
