Is the running game Willie's fault or the OC?

It's weird, ever since Willie Parker took over as the full-time feature back, or running game hasn't been as dependable as it should be. I think that coincided with our Offensive Coordinator joining the staff as well. I guess you can blame the line as well.

What do you think?

It's a combination of both Parker and the O-line. Parker has lost a step and he is starting to lose his vision as well. He's never had great vision to begin with. The Steelers need to start to play Mendenhall more, because I think this is the last season for Parker, at least getting the most carries between the 2 backs.

I think injuries from the past two season has played a role in Parker's declining play. He's gone from very reliable to I hate to say mediocre to a degree. It happens when you're the type of RB that has to profile of a player that would run through brickwalls rather than be the elusive RB that can find holes with the help of the D-line on the defense and run out to daylight for more yardage. I would like to see more of Mewelde Moore and Rashard Mendenhall at the RB to keep it efficient.

Totally agree on all counts. Willie has to have the hole right where it's designed or else he struggles, and he clearly has lost a step and a jump. Mendenhall has to run tougher to merit starting though, and he's not been good in pass protect consistently.

Mendenhall looks like crap. He can't find a hole. The Steelers should have went with Matt Forte instead of Mendenhall. I think Mendenhall will be a bust like Bam Morris.

Parker actually has never been an elite Running Back, he was just fast. Mewelde Moore is so much more of a pure runner, he just doesn't have Willie's Speed. Mendenhal looks like he's shell shocked since having that run in with Ray ray. Also, Bam Morris wasn't a bust he has 99 yards in the Super Bowl against the Cowboys. Drugs derailed him.

Bam Morris was a bust because he was expected to do so much more. Drugs has nothing to do with him being a bust or not. He never lived up to expectations.
