Jets @ Chargers

The Chargers look for their 4th win in a row as they take on the New York Jets. While the Jets' record makes it seem as if this game should be an easy win for the Bolts, the Jets' defensive line says otherwise. Their run defense is incredible, and as we have seen, without Danny or Ryan, the Chargers' run game is far, far below average. Rex Ryan Loves coming with multiple different blitz packages, so our pass blocking must be able to keep Rivers upright for San Diego to win this game. (I do not know if our third or second string center will be starting.) Hopefully the Chargers show they can dismantle even a tough D like the Jets
As for our defense, there is not much to fear other than perhaps a big play by Chris Ivory or Chris Johnson. Geno Smith has not made the best passing decisions this year, so perhaps Weddle or Flowers (or Verrett!) will come away with another pick. It would be encouraging to see a few sacks (though Geno is tough to take down) and a low number on the scoreboard. Our run D was a little to relaxed early in the Jaguars game, so look for it to be ready to go from the first snap in this one.
Wishing the Cardinals luck in their game against the Denver Broncos. Being an entire game ahead of them in the loss column would probably make me cry tears of joy.
BOLT UP, BABY!

We need Liuget for this game, he can't miss it.
And damn our run game is gonna average like 2.5 YPC tomorrow.

Sorry all I've been busy during most Charger games this year so I haven't had time to post. There is good new however:

I'm hoping that we can take this game. And our run game is a cause for concern since the Jets have been pretty good on D under Rex Ryan. Hopefully Rivers and company steps up today for another win.

Too many penalties for the Chargers. But our defense is playing pretty solidly.

I'm happy we're up. Not good that we've had more injuries and some dumb penalties.

I just cannot believe these injuries. Seriously, WTF?!?! It's just not fair. I get that injuries are a part of the game, but our 4th center? ARE YOU KIDDING?! That's just not fair.

It looks like the concussion to Brown was a blessing in disguise. How awesome does Oliver look? I mean I think he looks easily better than any rb on our roster. Mathews could never get into the endzone.
Oliver looks like Sproles in the open field and his speed was amazing, but even when he gets runs up the middle near the goal line or wherever he looks like he can break tackles and get in. Just watching him today, I'd rather him be our primary back going forward than Mathews, Woodhead or Brown. That could be jumping the gun a bit, but I don't think so. He demonstrated his skills on several occasions.

Well, as I mentioned in my last post, this turned out to be a good thing in the sense it allowed Oliver to show us what he could do.

And demonstrated his skill against a very tough run D!

Also, sorry to not comment during the game...I actually had internet access at the bar I was at but was watching fanstasy scores, twitter and facebook and kind of forgot about this game thread. I will have it up next week. If I don't PM me or something.

This team is so damn tough. All these injuries and didn't skip a beat and spanked the Jets.
We need to do something about these injuries though.
The Suns season hasn't started yet so maybe the Chargers could rent the Suns training staff for a month or so?

Maybe the rb injuries are a blessing in disguise. I can't remember the last time we had a rb look this good.

Oliver was a nice surprise yesterday. I remember him doing well in the pre season. I'm happy to have him. I don't know how long his contract his, I hope he keeps running well and that we can keep him.
