Sigle has had some nice plays, but also missed a few tackles. Collins blown off the ball there.

Really need Dillard healthy. He's at least tolerable (I think). I cannot understand not bringing in a rookie OT. Even if we didn't draft one, how did we not bring in a UDFA?

Couple good plays, but then a huge missed tackle by Martin. Got to clean that up. Good thing Dee Winters had looked so good.

Gotta wonder how bad Mordecai has looked given how awful Bradley has been tonight....

Moorestead is a vet, so not going to get too worked up, but he hasn't been great today. That ball should have been on the 10.

Can’t think of a position group I feel better about after that, maybe ST. Our tackle situation is dire…when Trent goes down, we have no legit OT to replace him. Purdy’s gonna get hurt and/or start seeing ghosts. Our rookies look meh, the most impressive guys have been the unsung 2nd/3rd year projects. Our schedule is soft as luxury toilet paper, but other than that and Saleh being back I can’t think of anything that says we’re better than last year. Even CMC doesn’t look like CMC.

We haven't even seen CMC yet lol.

Also how many teams can say they lose their all-pro LT and still be good at the position?

I think our rookie class will be pretty good, Mykel will be good, West will be good, rave reviews from Upton coming out of camp as well, Watkins even looks good, Sigle had some nice plays

but I think early returns on Collins don't look good, Martin yesterday looked lost.

i don't want to give up on Collins yet but I lose faith quickly when I see dudes his size get tossed around with ease like that by backups. and he's not some young player, he's about to be 24 in October...he needs to be ready NOW.

there were some good OLs taken right after Collins too (Ratledge, Ersery, Belton, Trapilo all starting already). if Collins busts and these dudes are even serviceable, that's a disaster second round pick.

Chargers

They just lost Slater and will slide Joe Alt in his place

Wouldn't read much into the preseason, especially the 1st week of it.

This team just never looks good in the preseason. I mean 2023 we lost to the Raiders 34-7 Week 1 and we ended up in the Super Bowl.

Doesn't mean there aren't concerns to pull out of it like the offensive line depth but on the flip side I thought the defense early on looked leagues better than it did last year.

On the whole though I think we fans overreact to training camp and preseason because if we need major contributions from 3rd string or fringe players the season is over anyways.

I really don't care about the Bradley vs Mordercai battle because ultimately if we need them to start the season anyway.

Drew Moss is such an intriguing UDFA - hopefully they give him some real burn this preseason

West will be a better player than Collins and I don't think it will be close.
