Actually heard some analysis about Locker that makes me slightly willing to get him. Locker is very accurate when throwing on the run but not good when in the pocket. I believe it was Mel Kiper who said this showed that Locker can make accurate throws in the pocket then if he takes some time to learn how to. Harbaugh is a great coach to help anyone since he was a quarterback and has success coaching them. Obviously it would require us to trade back into the first round but I would not be disappointed if he fell to us in the second round and we picked him up.

Locker is a choke artist. Sure he is decent out of the pocket but how often are you going to have him bootleg? If Mallet is available, draft him, or wait on stanzi in the 3rd.

So you want Mallet over Locker yet your concern is because Locker cannot operate in the pocket? Sure Mallet can operate in the pocket incredibly, as long as no defense is coming towards him. Which in the NFL is very little so therefore I feel like Mallet has just as much risk. My point about Locker being able to throw out of the pocket accurately was not that we could use him that way. My point was that if a player is accurate outside the pocket then obviously he has the potential to be accurate inside the pocket. It would take dedication and some great coaching. I believe Locker's willingness to work far exceeds Mallet and Harbaugh is good at grooming quarterbacks.

I'm not a Locker fan.

I keep hearing people say things like he was being considered for #1 overall last year for a reason. Well yeah thats true and all, but theres also a reason why he fell off a cliff this season and there is no guarantee he even makes the 1st round in this draft. Dude is very flawed, just like every other Qube prospect in this draft.

I seriously hope that Frisco does not take a qube @ 7. If they don't, I'd consider Locker if he's still on the board @ 45. But, I would much rather have Kaepernick or Mallett at that point.
