Alex Smith: 20/38, 267 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT

Statistically prolly one of his best games this season, but don't think many would say that who watched the game. Shows how those traditional means of evaluating QBs have holes.

Red Zone still an issue, though it was exasperated a bit because of ST issues. Without the tipped/blocked FGs that's a 32-7 final score.

I think it was one of Smith's worst games in a while (if not for a couple of great catches by Crabtree and Williams his stats wouldn't have been this good). One thing I learned though, this team is good. Even with what I would now consider a slightly "off day" for Smith (I hope that's what it was) they were still able to dominate this game.

Their defense is just spectacular. When you can win 23-7 against a team from your own division desperately clinging to a playoff hope, you're pretty darn good. I wonder what's going to happen next week when it's Jim vs John? You think Jim will cut him some slack?
