Worst 49er Ever

My vote is Chilo. He gets more penalties than anyone and never blocks anyone. Anyone think there was a worse Niner?

Chilo sucks, but don't forget Kwame Harris.

Both great examples. But just because Rachaal is still on this team, I'll weigh in on him. He is awful and for some reason, Madden has always given him a very respectable rating. But he is absolutely terrible, no question. We definitely need to replace him next season.

HM: David Carr. Yes he only got a hand full of snaps here, but his throws were astoundingly awful.

He would definitely be my 2nd pick. I feel like they are both very comparable.

David Carr was also pretty terrible. We've had a lot of bad QB's over the last several years.

Now if we wanted to go worst value I could make a point for the 80 million dollar man, Nate Clements. So glad we've replaced him.

Also, I know Norris is supposed to be a great blocker, but a guy that big should easily be able to pick up 1 yard when its needed. I feel like he got stopped several times on 3rd and short.

Rachal just reminds me about all the things i hated about Mike Singletary.

Kwame Harris is just terrible, but at least he doesnt remind me of Singletary

Chilo's one play against the Cardinals: he dove to block nobody and then got up and I'm pretty sure he tackled Gore!

Uh, I think alot of you are forgetting about the heir to Steve Young himself.

Druckenmiller was drafted in the first round (26th overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, who intended to groom him as Steve Young's successor. However, he played in only six games (including one start), completing 21 of 52 pass attempts while throwing only one touchdown pass and four interceptions. Following this unsuccessful stint in San Francisco, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins and subsequently released. As a result, he often appears on lists of the biggest draft busts in NFL history. For instance, in 2008 ESPN named him the 11th-biggest bust since the AFL-NFL merger,[1] and in 2011 Bleacher Report named him the 6th-worst first-round pick made in the same timeframe.[2]

I don't consider Brandon Lloyd the worst 49er ever or even close but I want to put him on this forum because of how frustrating he was. He would make some of the coolest catches I have ever seen and then drop easy passes. I don't know how he became a number one receiver now.

Also I want to comment on Nate Clements because he was also so frustrating. He would get beat by a fake curl by the receiver so often.

Because all he cared about was the big hit. He'd let his man catch all day as long as he could tackle him after. So glad he's gone.

And 1.

This is still the first thing I think of whenever I hear his name:

As for worst ever, hard to say. Rashaun Woods is the best recent candidate imo. Lawrence Phillips is the only 49er I can remember being embarrassed to have on the team. He also generally sucked and was responsible for Steve Young's last concussion. So yeah, I'll go with Phillips.

The first catch is why I can't put him on here. I agree he was so frustrating though. This catch is maybe my favorite of all time.
