Thought we were gonna pass him by after we picked up the WR, too. Now I see us probably just getting a bunch of depth for the practice squad, although I doubt anyone in the 6th or 7th makes the team. Maybe one.

Fragel, Dysert and Scott would all be great here IMO, but this late in the draft they probably have some sleepers they like.

Wouldn't surprise me if Patton is more productive this year than A.J. Jenkins.

Lattimore is a PUP candidate, can't wait to see what he could potentially bring in '14.

Dial could be a solid DL rotational piece. Not a huge fan of the Reid trade up but the last 2 days have been very nice for the 49ers.

I personally think we had a top 5 draft out of all the teams, but I am a little biased ;)

Top 5 for sure.

I had Dial as a 6/7th rounder and never heard of the rest. The CB Cooper must need tons of work because his measurables are awesome. Fla St LB and BJ look like special teams picks to me.

I'm surprised that with the amount of picks we had, we didn't trade out of one completely for a future pick. Only the Titans were stupid enough to give up a 2014 pick when they traded up.

Hope he gets the shot. A young QB like Kaep will love a guy who runs great routes and always catches the ball. Plus, his college QB wasn't a great downfield arm. So Patton's deep game may be better than expected.

I just wonder how long they will let Jenkins clog up roster space without production, just because he is a first rounder.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Not expecting much from either Jenkins or Patton. Boldin, Crabtree and Manningham are going to get the bulk of the catches.

I'm very thankful Baalke stayed away from small safeties like Matt Elam and DJ Swearinger. Tight ends are getting tougher and tougher to defend and safeties under 5'11 are put at a major disadvantage against them. Just look at Whitner.

Eric Reid has the perfect combination size, speed and athleticism to cover these big fast Tight ends. Cyprien is more of a SS than Reid so I can see why Baalke liked Reid more.

Let's not overlook that Titans deal though...we got an extra 2014 3rd rounder to move back six spots. And still got Tank.
